I've been reading the thread about an are that involves the alien costume as a season arc. Im kind of in the camp that a season long arc can be done if done well, though a 2 - 3 parter can be just as effective. But what about another strong story from Spider Man mythos. I'm pretty sure this story was never done in the 60's cartoon, not sure about the 80's and I'm aware that the 90s and MTV version had done this before but never an episode dedicated to it, let a alone a multi parter. Oddly enough the MTV version had the best interpretation of the scene of Peter giving up, even though it was one scene at the end of the last episode, while the 90's I remember they had a few throwaway scenes of him giving up, which was lame. So how would this story work for anyone else here. For me it'd work best for a few episodes where Spidey gets increasingly frustrated. Then it boils over in a two parter where at the end of the first episode he throws the suit away ala the famous panel from ASM#50. The in the second episode he inevitably goes back to being a hero again.
