Dragon Up!

Christmas...

It's that time of year where a vast majority of the people think that receiving presents is the reason to celebrate the holiday.

But the real reason for the holiday isn't about getting presents, but rather giving them

And for a certain American Dragon by the name of Jake (Jacob) Long, This year it's the lesson of giving from the bottom of his heart that is the lesson learned.

And giving isn't about being a dragon, but rather about being... human.

(And that my friends is the real lesson learned today).

I don't have to explain it any better then this and in fact that is today's lesson for Jake. For this Christmas Jake Long is going to show us that the holidays isn't about getting presents, but rather he's going to show us that the holidays are about a time to be with family.

And tonight, Jake's job is to do just that, to reunite a family (of Sasquatches, better known as "Bigfoot"), and to bring a liuttle happiness and joy to the holiday season.

But Like I said it's not the receiving that is the key here, but rather, the giving from the bottom of your heart that makes the holidays more then special. It makes it... well, Magical..

Need I say more?

So let's all sit down, grab some popcorn, and some cocoa, and maybe some egg nog as well, and let's all watch as we see the Longs show us what Christmas is really all about, as we wish everyone here,

A Hairy Christmas

Synopsis:

The 411 on this episode is much like the title says: But if you want the details well, Here they are:

Hairy Christmas-- (207)-- Jake Long is in a bit of a 'Bah Humbug' mood, espeically after feeling humiliated by his family's Christmas traditions. So Jake turns his back on them. But when he rescues a lost baby Sasquatch (Bigfoot), who was accidentally separated from his family, Jake finally learns the true meaning of Christmas. That it's not about the receiving , but rather... the giving.

Notes:

Being It christmas, who knows who we might see, perhaps one plump jolly old elf of a toy maker by the name of Claus? But it's anyone's guess.

Repeats:

Since it's the holidays, it seems that we're going to have a lot of repeats, and so if you miss tonight's episode at 8:30 Eastern/Pacific, 7:30 Central, don't fret.. Cause this Secret Santa has the repeat times if you want to catch it later and comment about this episode.

So here are those dates and times (all Times shown are Eastern/Pacific and are one hour earlier for Central. But be sure to check your local TV listings for proper airtimes okay? Ho! Ho! Ho!

Friday, December 22nd: 3:00PM *
Sunday, December 24th (Christmas Eve): 7:00PM *
MondayDecember 25th (Christmas Day): 1:00AM, 5:00PM*

Okay folks I'm done talking, I've got to go turn on my Chirstmas Saguarro, and cook me up a Holiday TV Dinner... and then I'm off to finish wrapping the last of the christmas presents.

After all, Like I said before:

It's not the getting of presents
that means the most,
It's the giving....

Happy Holidays from Tucsoncoyote--

This was a good episode of AmDrag, though I'm dissapointed about Rotwood, after the herd of Bigfoot appeared, he dissapeared completely. I was hoping he would have a bigger role, what with him knowing Jake's a dragon and all.
And the animation kinda got wierd at the end.

B/B+.

"Hairy Christmas" was produced before "The Rotwood Files", and therefore is technically chronologically before that episode. Just blame Disney Channel for their typical out-of-order airing.

Awe yes, the out of order thing. What would we all do if Disney ever aired episodes in order for once? LOL. Well any ways I enjoyed the episode, Spud was so cool. He saved the day, he and the dog were also quite funny :D
Trixie was annoying me till the end so was Jake. But it was a good episode. Animation was a bit off but meh.

That's a Good Question, and in fact I did a little digging on your question. Sasquatch is the name that a native American Indian Tribe (of the Pacific Northwest and Northwestern British Columbia), gives for a 'ape-like hominid (read as Ape like Human) that has been reported since the time that European men and women set foot in America (and Canada). The Term Sasquatch was first used in the 1920's to describe these creatures but it wasn't until 1967 when the term was used in conjunction with the Word 'Bigfoot' (this is because up until that time they were considered to be the result of what some folks would call, 'A vivid imagination. but in 1967 all of that changed when a couple of men were out on horseback in the Pacific Northwest and caught for the first time on a movie camera, a shot of this creature:

'Bigfoot' better known as 'Sasquatch'

Now a lot of folks think that Sasquatch is imaginary that the above photo is maybe a man in a gorilla suit or something, yet time and again photo experts have torn this picture (and the resulting movie frames), apart and have actually enhanced the photos to the best qualities they can try with Computer technology and in fact all experts agree on one thing: This isn't a guy in a gorilla suit, there's no zipper anywhere or even the hint of one, which means that perhaps this is the real deal (Even some experts say that type of fakery was impossible even in 1967 terms.

so then if it isn't a man in a monkey suit and there's no zipper, then conjecturaly what is this thing? Well that's where this term comes from. Of course when these guys took this moving film, they also spotted tracks that were rather large.. and so the term "Bigfoot" also arose.

But like I said it's all conjecture and theory. But still in the end, this is yet one unsolved mystery much like other mysteries like the Bermuda Triangle and the Lost City of Atlantis are. Until science proves either way (with a capture of said creature), well then this is all just a flight of fantasy to whoever views this. but in the end, What is real? What is imaginary? that is what leaves us wondering ... What is it?

Nuff said.

Hairy Christmas was a relief after seeing so many reruns. I enjoyed seeing Trixie reunited with her father. I hope there will be more new episodes coming soon.:) :D

To be honeste?I think that Sasquatch/Bigfoot, just looks like an oversized gorilla.

Thanks for the information though.

I have to admit, it's been hard trying to keep up with Jake Long this season.

That being said, this was a pretty fun Christmas episode. Traditions may be hokey sometimes, but regardless, they last forever. And it's not about the traditions themselves, it's what they do... which is bring the family together. And in a wild episode that saw Jake race against Rotwood and those two goofy Huntsclan henchmen to rescue a lost baby Sasquatch, that's all that really mattered in the end.

Oh, and that animals should stop attempting to sing Christmas carols. Yeesh...

"Hairy Christmas": 7.5/10.
