Then I whole-heartedly recommend you record Legacy. I gaurentee you you'll want to watch it again later on tonight. It is by far the best Superman episode ever made, right up there with Batman's Heart of Ice and Mad Love.

And it is cool to see the under-dog win.

As a Batfan:

Q: How the hell did that happen?

Emotional response: The Supes fans here (you guys rock, despite our differences) played a big role, but.... Smallville and all those little prissy teenie-boppers that think Clark is hot were the x-factor. I have an urge to drop kick my little sister...yeah, she's one of them....

Reasonable response: Okay, let's be honest and respond to the thread that asks who voted for who.

I'm fine with Superman winning, but judging from what people have said, it doesn't seem...feasible that Superman got a majority. There are three or four vocal Superman fans that said they voted, but versus how many Batman fans?

I agree with Bird_Boy that it was a set up, but good for the Superman fans. :)

Now I have time to go play Riven and Myst III or maybe watch a hockey game or two on tape. :D

out of curiosity...what was Supermans "R" move? I never played him...just Batman (his "r" move was the bat-a-rang..)

Oy, this is gonna wreak havoc with my studying. I'm glad we're getting to see Legacy though, definitely one of the finest episodes in the whole BTAS/STAS/BB/JL canon.

Whoo-hoo! Man, I can't believe Superman won! This rules!

Yeah, I think having to play the game to vote was a little poor, since kids think, "Superman's invincible! He'll be easy to play with!", when in reality both Bats and Supes are the same player with just different graphics.

But I'm glad Superman won - it'll be interesting to see Legacy. *watches 40gigs fill up*

i really wonder just what final eps of batman were planned for the marathon..that gonna kinda bother me now...just don't tell me that over the edge or mad love were involved or else i'm gonna break something that i know i'll probably regret later...

It was the heat vision. I voted for Supes too, partly because I thought that he was the underdog. Batman's clearly the favorite at this board, but I guess other people think differently.

I was glad to see Legacy again. It's been a while since I saw that.

Yeah, I was in shock when Supes won. I've always been a bigger fan of Batman. I like Supes but Batman is so dark and mysterious. I really wish he won!!!

FIX! FIX! Just kidding, I'm glad Supes won. I had never seen these eps. Legacy was as good as everyone said it was, and Out of the Past was a cool update of Superman II! Gotta agree with langden alger though - I wonder what Batman episodes they had ready if he won? It had to include Heart of Ice, since they already showed Avatar...

I think it was partially fixed. It always seemed as if they played a better Superman episode than a Batman episode to play, and also making people vote Superman to play as Superman is like telling website viewers that they have to vote for their site in order to download their multimedia or even view the site.

I am also disappointed that Superman won. I would have voted, but my screen always froze up everytime I tried. Anyway, I think one of the reasons Superman won was because of the success of Smallville. I think that brought in a lot of fans who never saw the animated series. Just a guess.

I nearly had a heart attack when Superman won! I coulden't believe my eyes! I always thought Batman was much more popular than Supes, but somehow he pulled ahead and won! Well, at least they showed Legacy, which you never get tired of watching. Still though, when I think what great Batman episodes they could have showed if he had won, I just want to jump off a bridge!!! Ah, well. I'm happy for the Man of Steel anyway! :)

See ya!

I freely admit to being so totally cynical about this one. I honestly thought that Batman fans who think being a Batman fan means crusading against Superman would swing the vote.

Not that I have anything against Batman fans because for crissakes I *am* one. Supes' tends to be an easy target and not quite the media darling Batman has always been.

I'm extremely happy to have proven wrong.

*ahem*...SUPERMAN WON!!! AHHHHH YEAHHH! LAST SON OF KRYPTON ALL UP IN THIS!! BOOYA!!

.*ahem* As you can see, I'm very proud of our boy. :)

Now, if only I could get to see the rest of the Superman series. (I missed Legacy **again**). Is there anyway at all the Supermans victory in the vote could him a less crappy timeslot than this 2:30 am?

More to the point, if it wasn't set up to make Superman look better, what the hell was the deal with airing "Girl's Night Out"?! NO BATMAN AT ALL!

Superman won!! Superman won!! YIPPEE!! Wa-hoo!! :D :D :D

5 words- I CAN NOT BELIEVE IT!

Sorry, Bat- fans if it seems as if I'm gloating,but- c'mon! Even us die- hard Superman fans never expected this to happen. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I heard the news. As for it being 'fixed', I wholly doubt it. People just wanted to play the game with super powers. And is it just me, or was that a lame 'announcement'? All they said was "Superman is next.' I expected more hoop-lah than that. Also, why'd they show "Blasts From The Past"? It's a good ep, but not the best. "Apokolips Now" would have been a better choice. Not that I'm complaining... Supes won!!!

They shouldn't even have had votes connected to the game! You should've just been able to vote in a poll. I had to download something (my school's computers) to even get it to work.

Still the Supes episodes were good.

This voting contest was determined by who you play as?? Then of course it's rigged (although Superman winning by 8% sounds believable).

Anyway, why didn't they make a big deal out of Superman winning?? When Outlaw Star won that one poll, at least they showed you the votes and all. But Toonami seemed to just shrug it off. I guess Toonami wants their Superman fans(and Batman fans since they probably would of dine it the same way) to feel worthless.

I was half expecting CN to air World's Finest and Demon Reborn to make it show that both Batman and Superman won. It would've been a cheap way out, for sure, but that thought lingered in the back of my head.

I was at my school's winter dance (winter formal), so I didn't get to see who the winner was...but I figured that it would be Supes. First off, I consider these things rigged all the way, lol. And Batman won last time they did this Batman vs Superman type thing, so it would only be fair for Superman to win this time around. I mean, if I were a Superman fan (I am, but I like Batman more), then I would be pissed that Batman won twice. Still, these contests are great, I loved seeing the older Batman episodes. And I thought it great that they played Batman and Superman back to back on Saturday. I thought that the winner would have the whole day, but Supes only got two hours. Now, next time they do this kind of contest, I'll be interested to see if they would make it a draw or not.

I agree,Penguin. The game and the voting should've been seperate, that way people would've been able to play as any hero they wanted, without it counting as their vote.
