Anybody remember a mini series that DC put out called "Superman Vs. Bugs Bunny". The plotline involved Mr. Mxyzplk teaming up with a Gremlin for some diabolical plot, so the DC heroes join forces with the Lonny Tunes to stop them. It's an interesting idea, but artistclly, they should've hired the artists who worked on "Gotham Adventures", or "Justice Leauge Adventures" to draw the heroes in those books. It makes sence to have them drawn in the Bruce Timm/WB animation style to fit in with Bugs Bunny and crew, at least in my humble opinion. What doi you think?

Howdy all,
With a subject like that, I had to check this one out. I don't remember the series, but I can imagine the possibilities for team ups:
- Superman & Bugs Bunny, rushing off to save the world with their invulnerability and ability to completely defy the laws of physics.
- Batman & Wile E. Coyote, constructing a vast device out of Acme components that ACTUALLY WORKS (and a chance to see Wile in the original "Ace the Bathound" costume =8^).
- The Flash & the Road Runner. Nuff said.
- Wonder Woman & Pepe Le Pew. There's an accident with WW and a bucket of white paint, you know the rest.
- Martian Manhunter & Marvin the Martian. Martian shapeshifting telepathy + Eludium PU-36 Explosive Space Modulator == major property damage.
- Hawkgirl & Gossamer (the "red hair & sneakers" monster). Good at screaming and beating stuff up. A lot. Hard. And they look cute together.
- Green Lantern & Elmer Fudd, only because they both blast things kind of indiscriminately.
OK, there's gotta be a better one for GL. Anybody? I just wish I actually had artistic talent. Perhaps we need to tap John Delany for a "Poll of the Week" sketch...

Here's the summary.
Mr. Mxyzptlk is back, teaming up with the DoDo. Together, they bring the worlds of the D.C. comics and Looney Tunes together. It's more than just the two stars, the whole worlds interact. The Flash races Speedy Gonzales and the Road Runner. Green Lantern has to deal with Marvin the Martin.
Actually Mbaker, it was the DoDo from Porky In Wackyland and Dough for the DoDo that had the two worlds colide.

That would make a very interesting (and somewhat trippy) episode of Justice League, I think. When was this comic done? Did it have Mary Jane and Sniffles in it? :p
Ya know, Wile E. did wear a "Batman suit" in "Gee Whizzz." And there was Super Rabbit.
You could pair Green Lantern with Joe Glow The Firefly.
Jack :D
...But I think a pairing of the JL heroes and MGM's characters would really be something. Tom, Jerry, and Batman!

Does anyone remember when [McDonald's, I think it was] had the superhero Looney Tunes toy giveaway? Bugs Bunny had on a Superman suit and Daffy Duck had on the Batsuit. I only had those two, so I don't remember the rest. Does anyone else?
Also, Tiny Toons had some superhero parodies, like the Batduck cartoons with Plucky and Hamton and Babs Bunny's Superbunny episode (which I don't remember too well).

Max was Lex Luthor, Beeper was Flash, FiFi was Zatanna, the Tweety kid was Black Canary, the Wile E. Coyote kid was Green Arrow, and the dog was something...

Byron Bassatt (sp?) hound was Aquamutt. All he did was sleep on the table infront of WW Babs.

And they were called The Just Us League. Because it was "Just Us" meaning only the ones with super powers so they didn't have to let Bat Duck in.

I've never heard of it, but thats not saying you aren't right. When you put "vs" in there it makes it sound like a poll. In that case, Bugs Bunny hands down.

(Apoligies for bringing this topic back from the dead, but I just found it in a search engine)
Yes I remember that,It was in 4 parts and I managed to pick up issues 3 and 4 from a comic book shop recently. It even has character such as Porky,Speedy Gonzales and that Dancing Frog!

Michigan J. Frog. I dunno if him being included is a good thing. I think we saw enough of him on the Dubba Dubba WB. ;)
I think that GL and Duck Dodgers would work well. Both fly around in space. Unfortunately DD probably wouldn't be much help, what with his Disintegrating Pistol disintegrating on him, among other things.

OK, I'll admit it.
Mixing the DC Universe with the Looney Tunes gang is one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard! They're like oil and water. Very thick oil, and very hard water... :)
I guess it would have been amusing if they'd done that back in the "Superfriends" days (since the Superfriends were corny anyway), but God forbid that idea even gets entertained for Justice League.
Justice League, like Batman, Superman, and Batman Beyond, is supposed to take the DC Universe seriously, and I'd like it to stay that way. Leave the cameos of the Looney Tunes gang, Harlem Globetrotters, Sonny & Cher, etc. for Superfriends and Scooby Doo.
Personally, I even find Mxy (I won't even try to spell his name) to be pushing it...

I vaguely remember a comic book with this in it. I vaguely remember flipping through it in the store. I vaguely remember putting it down very gingerly and backing away.

I haven't read the comic...but I think it's good not to take some things too seriously. I was always kind of fond of the Punisher vs. Archie comic, for example. And I just mentioned in the Comics board the other day how cool Asst. Editors Month was for Marvel when they ran that stunt back in the 80s. I think that an LT vs. JL thing could have worked...whether it did is something that I'll let people who've actually read it discuss. =P

I had the toy, I don't anymore, and I miss it. Saw it at the comic shop the other day, very tempted to buy it
