This thought popped into my head a moment ago, so I thought, hey, why not ask it here?
What got you started on Batman? Was it the tv show? The cartoon? The comic?Do tell do tell!!!

I voted TV Series...by which I'm assuming we're talking the nice 60s campy version.
I caught it in syndication when i was little and fell in love with the characters...so what if it was silly, I was 5 or 6...

The comics started it for me. I remember the first Batman comic I read was one where Dick and Bruce are moving back into Wayne Manr and the Man-Bat is in the cave. Good ish. My interests in comics sorta dwindled, but was rekindled when BTAS aired.

I voted "Comic"..but, I really think it was an action figure that hooked me...lol.
and "Batman" (Tim Burton) also helped w/ the hooking.

I voted TV series because I remember watching that a lot as a kid, but I also watched The Superfriends a lot back then too. Both of those probably contributed to the addiction. :D
I voted for the cartoons. I may have seen some of the Adam West Batman episodes when I was young, but I would have been too young to remember them very well. However, I really got into Batman and Superman when they aired alongside MiB and other cartoons in the Heavy Duty Dubbas lineup of Kids' WB.

Well, it was BTAS that really started my thing w/ Batman. It's progressed from there.

Those cartoons got me into it... during the break between B:TAS and TNBA, i sorta lost interest and started reading comics, and then Batman Beyond came.. and then BOOM! certifiable bat-addict!

Yeah, I got hooked on the tv series when I was little, and I got hooked on the cartoon later on.

The cartoon started it. I came home from school one day and there was this strange new series on the television. It was conveniently timed for me. It was Batman...TNBA to be exact...cool...I don't even remember the first ep I saw. It must've been good, because I kept watching. Then I learned of BTAS on CN. I watched every single ep multiple times at 6:30. The only one I haven't seen is the Grey Ghost one, but then again, I haven't seen any of them for awhile. When the series starts up again on a regular basis, it'll be a renewed interest for everyone. Those series rocked my world.

I've always liked Batman. But the cartoon series is what got me back into comics.

The comic-books were what did it for me. My mom had bought me a big bundle of comics for Christmas. These were fairly older issues from the late eighties, early nineties(This was christmas of '91 or '92 I believe.) I knew OF Batman at that age, but wasn't a huge fan. But these comics got me hooked. One in particular I remember very well. Gordon's working in his office late at night, shuffling papers and whatnot. He turns around and quietly murmurs, "My god." And there was Batman, standing in the window, with his features in sillouette against his cape flapping in the breeze. He was dark, scary-looking, and pumped.
I loved it.

I got hooked on Batman by the cartoon when I was around three or so. On this home video, it even catches me singing the theme song to it. :p

The combination of the Animated Series and the movies got me into Batman.

My Batman obsession started w/ TNBA during the summer of '98. I was sewing and I decided to turn on the T.V. because it was too quiet. After the show, I thought to myself, "Man, this show is dark, like Gargoyles. I like it!"

Well Burton's original movie had me going around saying "I'm Batman!" all the time (which is really strange considering my personality), but I wasn't 'hooked' yet. Sometime about a year or so ago I started catching TNBSA on WB and thought they were pretty interesting. Still no addiction though. Then they went off the air and I noticed Batman Beyond. I became seriously interested in it about two months before WB kicked it off the air permanently. Just my luck! Anyway, thanks to Cartoon Network I can rewatch BB and catch up on the old Batman cartoons as well. Happy happy, joy joy!

I don't think I even under stood the plots(which was a good thing now that I look back on it) but my siblings and I would watch it and then make up are own little stories, I harldy saw it though(which is also a good thing now that I look at it).
Then came the movie, or did that come first?
Then the cartoon, I lOVED IT!!!
Then they cancelled the cartoon, I HATED IT!!!
Then WB made the cartoon, I didn't no what the hell was going on.
Then, my mom's freind opened a comic book store and I bought... a serving pan, a Tex Avery serving pan.
Then my mom's freind reopened the store and I got the Batman beyond comics, two years later I bought the Gotham Adventures.
I'm blond.

It started with the cartoon for me. Funny thing is, I really dont remember ever seeing BTAS on tv, I think I was always outside when it came on. Then at first, I actually liked STAS better, because I thought TNBA was too "dark" (in the color sense). But the more TNBA/BTAS eps I watched the more I liked their stories and Batman's character. And I became a huge fan of the cartoon. And it lead me to check out the major comics about him and basically just getting more and more involved with his character. So now, I'm a full-fledged Bat fan.

The TV series is the first thing that exposed me to Batman. At the time I took it all so seriously because when I first saw them I was like 10. I even cheered for The Penguin. :)

Well it started all when I saw Batman ('89 Movie) for the first time on TV.

I was three years old in 1967, and I remember standing in front of the TV with a towel safety-pinned around my neck, waiting for Batman (with Adam West) to come on. It's one of my earliest memories. Since then it's been Batman, Batman, Batman.

I don't see why the movies weren't included since the first one wasn't so bad.
