A source at Warner Bros. Animation has informed Toon Zone News that a new series based on the "Looney Tunes" characters is currently in development. The new series, "Baby Looney Tunes" (working title) will feature smaller versions of the popular characters. Similarly in the early nineties, Warner Bros. Animation and Amblin Entertainment produced "Tiny Toons Adventures," a series that had the Looney Tunes teach younger counterparts of them at school.
For the new series, Warner Bros. Animation will be hiring new voice actors from Canada to save money, instead of hiring their current "Looney Tunes" voice actors. Not much information is known at the present time about the series, except for the fact that the baby idea has stemmed from the successful "Baby Looney Tunes" merchadise. The series, which could premiere in the fall, will air on either Kids' WB! or Cartoon Network, or possibly both, much like the "What's New, Scooby Doo?" series. More information on this series is forthcoming.
