minor note, but the cover to the volume has removed the seatless pants and made them look like ordinary pants. But the inner cover(the first page of the book) contains the unaltered original image used for the cover(allthough it's not colored)

I'm not sure whatelse could be altered being that I don't have the japanese version of this volume, but I would be curious if there were further alterations

Old, old news (http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=11615).

Done at the insistence of bookstores.

and changing the cover doesnt count as censoring in my mind. It happens so often anyway.

Of course, the the UK printing of volume 2 (http://www.lovemanga.co.uk/2006/10/1113/) features the thing shot in all its, er, glory.

So what if it's not on the cover? It's still in there and that's all that matters.

Actually, in japan, they also do the cover jacket censorship for their manga titles as well while underneath the jacket, the same image is there only uncensored and in monochrome. Satoshi Urushihara's Vampire Master: Dark Crimson is an example of this and I'd like to put up a comparison shot but I'd be violating board rules.

As for the bookstore policy, you're better off writing letters of melancholy to the publishers for this decision and refusing to buy their manga until they cave and sell unedited versions online or in comic stores whereever.

For a ****ing cover? You have GOT to be kdding me.....

If anyone decided to not buy a title because of a change to the coverart id say they are stupid, if someone decided not to buy any titles by a publisher because of a change to the coverart id say they are insane.

Sad fact of life, American perverts have less blood than Brittish ones, it's for health reasons that the cover was changed.

I think I may have misworded my point and I really meant was for art within the book, not outside.
