OK, this is a thread to post your Sig. and comment on other people's sigs (cause some of us DO change them...
Like mine -
RUSTY: Aw...please, Dr. Slate? Robin gets to hang out at the Batcave.
SLATE: Batman and Robin are cartoon characters, Rusty. You're real!
Big Guy & Rusty
Is going away, since I don't have the BG&R logo as an avatar, but I thought it was memorable cause of the Batman ref...
anyway, either this thread'll catch on, or it'll fall off the face of the board.

I haven't had a signature for a heck of a long time. I can't even remember what my last one said.

No offense, but do we really need a thread that just has everyone posting "look at my sig"? I think that most people notice it in your regular posts if they want to look at it.

Well....I was hoping for people to actually POST their sig....so that when they changed it, there would be a record of the old sig...
*sigh*

Silly me, I posted this on another thread earlier :o But I've taken care of it, so it's all good now...
My signature is as follows:
Be all that you can be.... Or at least try and get up before noon....(Trent Lane's motto, of course)
Visit World's Finest Fanfics Board.... (If you do, you'll be getting some of the best writing around and it's by your fellow posters...)

Mine is a quote from H.P. Lovecraft's Nyarlathotep--I thought that it fit with the Felix Faust avatar. Here it is:
"And it was then that Nyarlathotep came out of Egypt. Who he was, none could tell, but he was of the old native blood and looked like a Pharaoh...He said that he had risen up out of the blackness of twenty-seven centuries, and that he had heard messages not on this planet...Men advised one another to see [him], and shuddered. And where Nyarlathotep went, rest vanished; for the small hours were rent with the screams of nightmare."
--H.P. Lovecraft, Nyarlathotep
I'll change it when I change my avatar, but this one will never change:
"You haven't the tools to defeat me."

--A Dylan quote comes standard. I'm doing something a bit different with the Nicholoson line, but Daria will return to this spot next week, along with a new avvy...promise.... ;)

I suppose that if we can have an avatar thread we can have a signature thread.

Haven't changed mine yet. I found this quote somewhere, and I think it works on so many levels :D :
"No amount of careful planning can ever replace dumb luck."

Hee hee, I still remember the answering-machine sig.....I can't get it out of my head.....
And, just for confirmation......yes, I *do* occasionally go under my bed and scream. Not only is it relaxing, but it also cleanes up your sinuses! :p
My sig at the moment: "Run away, run away!". Anyone know where that's from? ;)

I'll go with "Monty Python & The Search For The Holy Grail" for 200, Danielle!

That is correct! And you win.....a vowel!
Hey, who can tell if it's the right show or not? They're all really the same!

I started out with a terrific Bugs Bunny quote: Don't take life too seriously; you'll never get out of it alive."
Then I got a little silly: "I'm not insane; at least, that's what the voices in my head tell me."
Eventually, I got to my current sig: the first is a line from Beetlejuice that, I feel, fits me like a glove. At a number of message boards (this one included), not to mention in life, I am ignored. I guess I'm not the kind of guy who stands out in a crowd; the kind of guy that no one (outside of his family) gives a crap about...but that's a monologue best left for several pricey psychiatry sessions. Looking back to Tim Burton's wonderful 1988 comedy, I found an encouraging solution to my dilemma:
"Live people ignore the strange and unusual. I, myself, am strange and unusual."
The second part is from life experience. Many years ago, I wanted to send this in to the jokes section of "Boys' Life" (remember that?); has anyone else noticed this?
"Why is laughter the best medicine, when it is also contagious?"
The third part is a link to a petition to put "Duckman", one of the best animated shows ever, on DVD. Have you been signing?

I haven't been here long, but I plan on changing the sig to match my avatar and subtitle everytime those change.
First sig (no avatar):
Some are born to sweet delight
Some are born to the endless night
Jim Morrison/William Blake
Second (red eyes, subtitle "The Coda Queen"):
Coda Queen, be my bride
Rage in darkness by my side
Seize the summer in your pride
Take the winter in your stride
Let's ride
Jim Morrison
And this one with the Daria avatar. I'll find something...interesting for the contest....
Peace and Rock 'n' Roll

My fist sig on the board was a quote from 'World's Finest' -
"She likes Bruce Wayne and she likes Superman, it's the other two she's not crazy about." (Bruce)
"Too bad we can't mix and match." (Clark)
I just think of all the conversations between our two heroes, this one is so absurd it's profound. I may go back to it some day.
The two I'm using now -
The optimist believes this is the best of all worlds; the pessimist fears this is true
Got that one from an inspirational calendar. Unfortunately I fall into the latter category.
I think, therefore I procrastinate
I made that one up. It fits me to a T.

I get my signatures from the weirdest places:
"Do you bet it all, or better not?" - Project Gotham Racing commercial. I find the assonance and its meaning quite interesting...
"Story of my life: Nice plan, jackass execution." - Told to me by a friend when asked how I run my life.
"The only thing that matters is how well you walk through the fire." - Charles Bukowski said/wrote this... I found it reading the quotes page from Reader's Digest.

I remember the first time I saw some of thse signatures, and some made we laugh, others made me think, and yet others i was like, man that sig rocks!!! This is my first,(it's Nightwing talking about Barbara-for those that didn't already know that) and I have yet to come up with anything else. Perhaps I'll take something out of LOTR or The Hobbit, maybe out of an anime, but I don't have time yet *sobs*
You can just look below to see my sig. I just tried to write it out, and couldn't even remember all the words in it, lol, how sad is that!?

Well... my first sig was from Invader Zim, as were several of my other sigs. My first was:
Zim: The Earth is saved, Gir.
Gir: YAY!
Zim: Now let's go destroy it.
I can't seem to recall most of my other sigs, except this one, which I just recently changed from:
You are in direct violation of code 4/72. Prepare to face my wrath!
And the one I just switched from today, quoted from Ralf via Ed, Edd and Eddy:
Do not burn the candle at both ends, as it leads to the life of a hairdresser.
And this is my current one, in my opinion the funniest part of TLOR: The Two Towers:
Gollum: Tired he is, thirsty he is, and he guides the and he searches for paths, and they say sneak, sneak.
Sam: What were you doing?
Gollum: Sneaking.
It's not the complete quote, as I wouldn't be able to fit it in for a sig. But it'll do. (Is it'll even an acceptable word?)

Like a lot of other people's, my sig changes with every avatar - right now it's a verse from Polly and Lucille's "Pointless Sister" song (Polly Ester is the one in my avatar - she and Lucille are characters from an anime series called Samurai Pizza Cats.)

Here's one, courtesy of a great man named Georege Carlin:
"Hey kids! It's all bull**** and garbage, and none of the stuff they tell you is true. And when your dumbass father says he wants you to ammount to something, he means make a lot of money. How do you think the word "ammount" got in there?"
This is my new philosophy on life.

Mine right now is "WHAT IS IT?" which is from Invader ZIM. It's when Zim is explaining the HUNTER DESTROYER MACHINE and Gir keeps interupting him by saying "What is it?"
My favorite will always be one of Patrick Star's quotes :
You mean to say they've taken
what we thought we think and
make us think we thought our
thoughts we've been thinking
our thoughts we think we
thought?...............
I think?
