Normally, my perverted mind goes to the wrong place with relatively harmless scenes but I wanted to get some feedback on these screencaps:

These are gags that work for both kids and adults.

Take for instance the episode of Rocko where Philburt's babies hatch. One of the four looks like a Heffer and at the time I assumed this happened because Heffer spent some time warming the egg. Of course, looking back at it now, it's a lot more shocking.

It always freaked me out how Wuya acted so goofy in ghost form, yet when she became human she was suprisingly....hot.

The 2 Stupid Dogs episode where they're rounding up shoes in an attempt to open an automatic door. Cut to the Little Dog at a strip club and a stripper (sillouhetted to avoid any *real* nudity), taking off her top, to which the Little Dog replies. "The shoe! Take off the shoe!"

I'm never going to see that Wuya scene the same way now :p And here I always was thinking it suggestive the way Kimiko kept appearing in everyones dream sequences,,, except Omi, his had squirrels *shiver* :anime: no really,,, I could go on.....

This one three shot Pictorial sums it up with Disney and the word 'Racy':

The "Codenamed" L.B.D. (Little Black Dress) that Kim Possible Wore in Emotion Sickness). Need I say more?

http://members.cox.net/aerodyne2/534.jpg

Racy enough for ya?

of course Kim's Prom Dress in So the Drama comes a close second...

http://members.cox.net/aerodyne2/Image1645.jpg

Showing a little bit of leg too much aren't you Kimmie Cub?

And if you thought that was bad... Try Shego in the same Movie (So the Drama)

Good Lord Shego! That's a Little bit 'Exreme' isn't it?

And that's as Racy as Disney is gonna get.. end of story..

Wow, that first Kim Possible pic looks like she's having ALOT of fun. I don't see what's so racy about the other KP pics, apart from the fact that the characters are wearing dresses.

Haha...I've seen the first pic turned into a rather mature icon at Livejournal. In fact, there's a parody fan video on Youtube about it listing almost all the "innuedo" and suggestive situations on that show.

The rest of them though, I see nothing wrong with. Unless you think too much about the nurse one.

Well before all this raciness in cartoons, a lot of folks forget one important thing:

It was a guy by the name of 'Tex' Avery who brought the word Racy right into Animation... Let's face it who here hasn't heard of Red Hot Riding Hood?

http://www.brightlightsfilm.com/22/22_images/textalesreddance.gif

I Mean if this isn't racy enough, 'Tex' Avery's rolling in his grave!

But seriously before all these so called "Cartoons" of today which has taken Tex's Idea and has twisted it so much it's not funny. There was this little 7 and a half minute short Tex Created in 1939 or so. and believe me, if you want Racy, this was it. (In fact Tex's animated short didn't see the light of day even on Video until 1989.. some 50 years after the fact.)

so when you think Cartoons are racy today? You just have to thank Good Ol' 'Tex' for bringing us this little cutie...(after all Jessica Rabbit in Who framed Roger Rabbit is really a spoof of the idea of This particular short...

:coyote:Oh man, here we go again...

First of all, the cartoon was made in 1943, proof is that Tex was still in Warner Bros. by 1939.

Second, the cartoon was never banned or withheld. It was re-released in theaters at least once during the 50s. It was part of the original MGM syndication package which many stations got hold of, which means it was shown on television before 1989.

And third, you obviously haven't seen certain Betty Boop cartoons.

First off Jave, I may have a bit of knowledge, but I'm only human and not some moderator who thinks he's god or some robot. After all this proves that even I am not perfect, but at least I get a vast majority of some of my info incorrect from time to time.

And third, you obviously haven't seen certain Betty Boop cartoons.

and Third, actually I have.. In fact the first Popeye cartoon which starred Betty Boop (which i believe was in the late 1920's to early 1930's, and don't quote me on this as I don't have every last piece of info memorized, which proves yet again I am human and tend to make mistakes), had a very racy scene which had a scantily clad Betty Boop doing a hula dance. (Why was it racy? Easy. Betty was definitely wearing the grass skirt, but instead of some sort of top (Like a bikini top), her upper half was clothed in only a flower lei.. (which then also proves that I'm human and not some moderator who thinks he's god. or a robot. After all, I'm only human)

And yes speaking of Betty Boop, she did have a few episodes I recall that were quite racy indeed.

and Speaking of Popeye.... who could forget Olive Oyls' 1950's strip tease in an episode where Popeye and her owned a Bar/Tavern, in the far Yukon North, where olive puts on a bit of a strip tease (which seemed racy at the time, but in reality was just that... a tease..(She was wearing clothese underneath..(but hey, Like I said, I'm only human, and am not a robot, or a moderator who thinks he's god. After all Like I said, I'm only human...)

I don't see what's so racy about a woman screaming in ecstasy while riding a phallic shaped rocket.;)

well actually I do.. I too have seen this episode, and in fact believe me, It's racy enough... heck what was even funnier is that this well endowed criminal I believe was giving a bit of a racy tet a tet with Bats, and enjoying every minute of this. But my question is why was it that Warner Brothers, actually let that scene go too far.

Jessica is a knockoff of good old Red....
Now if you have never seen the original Red, then you haven't seen sexy.
given the l940s era of censorship, this is an amazing accoplishment..
...Red is an incredible toon, it is fun, lots of double meanings if one looks for them..and the fox of course,... is great.( Yes, Betty Boop is something, esp the early 30 toons...but IMO Red really is better)
Hope everyones sees this great toon................................sun

Actually TC, the Betty Boop cartoons I meant featured actual cleavage and panty shots. The one you describe is fairly mild compared to those.

But it's funny that you used the same phrase four times to insult me in your post. You did nothing but made yourself look bad.

They did seem to reuse her a few times as I've once maybe twice in a different outfit with a wolf, a variation of RedRiding Hood, and I seem to remember her once in white.

Actually TC, the Betty Boop cartoons I meant featured actual cleavage and panty shots. The one you describe is fairly mild compared to those. In Betty's day aren't they bloomers? Not quite as sexy, but I'm from a different time:anime: I didn't think she had clevage being a thin flapper, but I've only seen tiny clips and really only remember the garder and stockings.

Need I have to remind everyone of The Mask: TAS's episode "Flight As A Feather" while we're on the subject of racy scenes in kiddie cartoons?

For those who didn't see my post about the scenes from that episode, here are some focusing on the episode's raciest sequence (about the Mayor's bill signing ceremony getting interrupted by a stripper seeking vengeance for getting dumped):

^This was from the CBS Mask cartoon? I don't even recall seeing this one.

No, this was from the syndicated episodes that ran on the BKN line-up in the late 1990s (and later on Fox Family, but Fox Family always skipped over this episode because of that sequence).

The CBS Mask cartoons were:

The Terrible Twos
Baby's Wild Ride
Shadow of a Skillit
Sister Mask
The Mask Is Always Greener on the Other Side (part one)
The Mask Is Always Greener on the Other Side (part two)
Bride of Pretorious
Double Reverse
Shrink Rap
Mayor Mask
Martian Mask
How Much Is That Dog In The Tin Can?
All Hallow's Eve
Split Personality
Santa Mask
Magic
Little Big Mask
Fantaschtick Voyage
They Came From Within
To Have And Have Snot
Mystery Cruise
The Goofalotatots
When Pigs Ruled The Earth
The Aceman Cometh (the Ace Ventura: TAS/Mask: TAS crossover ep)

The syndicated episodes are:

A Comedy of Eras (FYI, this episode was not the one where The Mask meets Jim Carrey, Mike Myers, and Adam Sandler--there is no such episode. The real plot of the episode centered around a scientist named Cronius [I think] using a watch to send The Mask to the future and to the age of the Salem Witch trials)
Goin' For The Green
Flight As A Feather
The Good, The Bad, and the Fish Guy
Malled
Channel Surfin'
Mask au Gratin
Jurassic Mask
You Oughta Be In Pictures
For All Mask-Kind
Up the Creek
Boogie With The Man
What Goes Around Comes Around
All Hail The Mask
Power of Suggestion
Mr. Mask Goes To Washington
Rain of Terror
The Mother of All Hoods
To Bee or Not To Bee
Love Potion Number 8 1/2
Cool Hand Mask
Broadway Malady
Enquiring Masks Want To Know
Future Mask
Sealed Fate
(The Angels Wanna Wear My) Green Mask
Mutiny of the Bounty Hunters
Convention of Evil
The Green Marine
Counterfeit Mask

Yep, old Tex AVery knew how to draw the ladies. His Red Riding Hood cartoons were very popular and always pushed the envelope. The censors nailed him a few times, but most of his gags got through. In fact, I once heard Bob Clampett say that when Tex was at Warner Brothers he used to go to the screenings of his cartoons with the censors. When the film got to a part that Tex thought might get nailed, he'd try to distract the censor by pulling out a cigarette and asking for a light! :D

Clampett was also known to push the envelope. His masterpiece Coal Black and De Sebben Dwarfs (which, sadly, will never be released on video) uses a great deal of innuendo.

:coyote:I don't know if its to do with the fact that Bruce Timm and his buddies were making their shows for a 7+ audience (And if I were the head of marketing these cartoons I'd realize that) but my guess is the censors looked at it the wrong way.

One thing that must be said, is that the toons, like "Betty Boop" and "Red Riding Hood" were not really made for kids...If we had Tex here, I am sure that he would verify this..These, and many of the Warner's toons of the 40s 50s, and early 60s. were made for an audience that span all ages...The double meanings of many toons of that era, verify this, as do interviews with Chiuck Jones, and others...
..So, the toons like Animaniacs, which I guess could be called, "kids" cartoons, since they were supposed to be aimed at, "kids" audiences, I suppose would qualify here...
,,,Of course, as has been stated elsewhere, Animaniacs eps, had double meanings too, and transended all audiences..A few posts back, someone mentioned the Nurse in Animaniacs..I suppose that would qualify better than "Red" or "Betty Boop."... . as racy scenes in kids cartoons." If one looks hard enough, he/she can lots of racy stuff in Animaniacs and Tiny Toons. And of course, it depends on how you define "racy," Thanks for reading this...............................................................sun

Well, I laughed at all the innuendo that was in the new Happy Feet movie, from the racey song lyrics to the scene where Mumble who flies out of the water accidently runs into Gloria where each attempt they made at getting up put them in very interesting 'positions' of fumbling over one another.

http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e172/8484/Anime/YurasFlawlessSnatch.gif YES I was wondering when Yura was going to appear. Being anime I wasn't going to bring her up yet. :anime:

What doyu mean Americans, you'll find that every where. Unless you're British (it refuses to let me put a lol smily here)
