ASHQ Reports: Shin-Chan Gets Picked Up

Today I had the pleasure of attending Virginia's Anime USA 2006 where FUNimation voice actress Catlin Glass confirmed that Shin Chan's test run was indeed successful and the series will again be airing on Adult Swim in the future.

We'll see if she's right.

Honestly, while Shin Chan is a comedy, Id love to see it on Saturday night at the beginning of the line-up in place of Robot Chicken. It'd be great to have a full night of anime again.

Remove the word "almost" and I'll agree with you.

It would be just about the most boneheaded move AS has ever made if they didn't pick up this show. Funimation did an amazing job with it. If it does get picked up I hope that AS promtes it will and puts it in a decent time slot on Sundays. I think the show is good enough to get some mainstream attention.

I also beleive shin chan should open the Saturday night block at 11:00. I've always liked the idea of comedies airing before the action shows but it would be better if it was an anime comedy being the lead in for those shows.
