Bleach Around the World

With Bleach airing on Adult Swim in the US and YTV in Canada, what networks in other countries should/would/do air Bleach? I know Viz has the license in Europe and I believe Australia and Latin America. I'm sure they'll be pushing for it as hard as they did here and in Canada.

Well in the UK, Toonami UK, Jetix, and Rapture could air. Adult Swim UK and Nickelodeon UK have an outside chance to air Bleach.

Adult Swim Australia will probably get it eventually.

Toonami Latin America seems likely as well. As they air everything from butchered One Piece to Adult Swim run Samurai Champloo.

Yes... eventaully. But I'm glad that Madman was nice enough to get the rights to distribute Bleach in Australia, even though I'm not very fond of Bleach.

I hope it's Rapture too, but when was the last time Toonami UK edited something on their own? I don't think they would do it to Bleach if it came.

Bleach could air on regular CN Australia. Even though Toonami isn't there anymore, it could air next to Naruto. Maybe it'll air on Miguzi.:p


I think Bleach will air on Toonami Latin America. They do air Trigun, Inuyasha, and Ranma 1/2 after all.

It would fit best on Rapture, since they seemed to treat FMA alright. Does Sci Fi UK still air anime regularly? I heard of Fist of the North Star and Excel Saga airing on the channel a few years ago, but haven't kept up with it.

Toonami UK I suppose doesn't edit things by themselves but consider also that they haven't picked up a PG show since what... Outlaw Star? Which they did show uncut but that was years ago. No wait, Big O season 2 came after that. Even so they haven't played anything more than Y7-FV material for anime on Toonami UK in a very long time and I don't see that changing.

We all know how Jetix Bleach would turn out...

Unfortunately the rest of the world doesn't have a dedicated 12-17 action animation block like Canada's Bionix.

CN Australia might air Bleach next to Naruto but I see it much more likely on Adult Swim given that Gundam SEED aired on Swim there along with Inuyasha and FMA... it's pretty obvious they take hints on programing from Adult Swim US. But I'd prefer it get to air next to Naruto of course. I'm just not so sure they're bold enough to do that. Is Naruto in Australia uncut or the Viz edit? If it's uncut then maybe Bleach would air next to it. If its edited then AS will probably get it because Viz didn't make an edited version of Bleach like they did with Naruto.

The problem is, a dedicated channel exists, it's just bullied mercelesly by Sky half the bloody time (rapture) and can't afford more than two series and they have to plum for the blood fest

I'm glad neither 4Kids nor Disney picked up Bleach in the US. It could've been alot better if Funimation or Geneon acquired it instead of Viz.
