SmackDown! wraps up WWE's time in England as all three brands ready for Survivor Series. In a surprising move, Bobby Lashley appeared on ECW (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=178496) this week and signed up for the Extreme Elimiation Chamber at December to Dismember. Will this be the former U.S. Champions final SmackDown! appearance?

Street Fight

It’s been a difficult few weeks for Montel Vontavious Porter when it comes to dealing with the Big Red Machine. The confident newcomer has been beaten from pillar to post, but next Friday on SmackDown, Porter will look to turn the tables on Kane when they meet in a Manchester Street Fight.

Dream Teams collide

SmackDown will also witness the collision of a pair of dream teams. World Heavyweight Champion King Booker will team up with former ally and King's Court member Finlay to take on the duo's most bitter rivals in Batista and Lashley. The physical confrontation will offer a preview of what's to come at Survivor Series.

Handicap Match

In recent weeks, the Boogeyman has terrorized Kristal. The appetizing Diva has received no help from the Miz, who has repeatedly fled the scene, leaving Kristal to fend for herself. On Friday, the duo will team up to take on the bizarre fan-favorite in a Handicap match. Will the Miz remain undefeated?

Calling on the dead

Mr. Kennedy did the unthinkable when he called out Undertaker and bloodied him with his signature microphone. Last time somebody did anything similar to the Deadman, they paid in spades. How will the Phenom respond to the cocky Kennedy’s deadly actions?

Another outstanding promo by Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy. I would dare say he's the best current superstar on the mic at this point in time. He's definately improved from earlier in his term.

London vs. Regal = Non-gimmick MOTW. Holy crap, Regal was stiffing the crap out of London's head, so awesome. And I have never seen that leg-hook back suplex pin ever before. Anybody know if that has a name somewhere?

WHY is this show so much better than Raw? So far we've had another great Kennedy promo, a great undercard match with Regal vs. London, and a very entertaining streetfight. Kane punching through the phone booth glass was one of the coolest out-of-ring spots in a while. I mean, I don't care who you are, that was just pure awesomeness. Also seemed pretty dangerous; I wonder what the catch was. It's a surprise to see MVP bleeding this early in his career.

Another great showing by Smackdown, this is why they have the main event at Survior Series.

Main event was OK. I wonder who'll take the token tag-team partner of Batista now, since Lashley is in ECW. i hope Benoit gets elevated.

So Smackdown was adequate. And that makes it the Show of the week.

That Kane vs MVP match was the best match I've seen on SD in months. The phonebooth spot was

I've made an observation. While other wrestling shows have heel managers who screw over faces, Smackdown has the contrary. And for that reason, I openly support the heels on Smackdown.

I agree that the main event was just okay, but I think that's part of their roster problem. All the charismatic guys are on Raw, which turns that show into a 2-hour talkathon, whereas Smackdown always has the B-show feel but at least has more wrestling.

The good thing about face managers is that they don't really interfere with the matches or make them unfair. I mean, Kane is just another wrestler on the roster. It's perfectly fair for MVP to go up against him, even if it's a mismatch.

A good show tonight. I should watch Smackdown more often. London vs Regal was a cool match to see with those almost forbidden looking spots. And even though I've never been the biggest fan of Ashley, she took that spot with London falling directly on top of her like a trooper. Too bad though that, from the looks of it, they're going to break apart London and Kendrick. Sigh. I never got to know them.

Kane vs MVP street fight was entertaining. Most streetfights will degrade into the usual steel steps and titantron faux headbanging and a threatening of throwing someone off the stage. While they still did the steel steps, it was nice to see something out of nowhere with the phone booth. If they don't replay that on Raw on Monday, minus one point from me.

And the main event was good for your standard pile together somewhat random people and say fight match. I don't know why Lashley wanted to go to ECW. He fits better on Smackdown in my opinion. I thought he and Batista were supposed to fued?

Lashley is heading to ECW cuz he has backstage heat with Michael Hayes. I think he also wanted to work with Pauly E Dangerously.

I don't particularly see Lashley going anywhere on Smackdown, and he'd definitely get eaten alive on Raw, so I don't mind the ECW thing. See if it works. If he stays the way he is now I think he'll start to disappear fairly soon.

No one's talked about Boogeyman vs. Mizizzle & Kristal. Just as well. Miz actually got Boogey to sell for him, then he runs out like a scared mouse when Boogey pulls the worms out of his pocket.

Tatanka's heel turn's been wasted as he's still losing. He tapped out to the sharpshooter vs. Benoit, and by then, his face paint was already gone. Chavo will be your next US champion, methinks, if that post-match was any indication. Let's just get to the root of the storyline already, because there's something Chavo is not telling us.

Regal-London was the best match of the week, IMPO. Ashley's implants broke when London crashed into her, so she won't be back for a couple of weeks, methinks. If this was Raw, Regal loses. The way they're talkin', Dave Taylor may be back sooner than anyone thinks, and that's a good thing.

Not surprised that the Most Vain Poser needed Kennedy's help vs. Kane, but KK left him hung out to dry afterward. Porter has to job in the cage next week.

One word for the continuing feud between Helms & Matt Hardy:  .

Lashley leaves Smackdown a winner. Just watch for the kool-aid, Bobby. ECW needs babyfaces!!

We had Indiana basketball on here, so I had to watch the show after most of you were done watching it.

Ugh, I just hate the Boogeyman. I cannot stand to watch him spit worms on people. I doubt anyone on the roster cares much for that. Marty Wright is a one-trick pony and that trick isn’t very good over extended periods of time. I’m gonna keep saying it, but WWE made the right decision when they released him. Cryme Tyme isn’t getting enough attention to offend anyone if that is indeed why they brought Boogeyman back.

Rey’s knee surgery was about the same we’ve seen from these types of things. Of course he had his mask on. ;)

Benoit certainly brought it against Tatanka. The match was good, but one thing I really got out of it was how well JBL built up Tatanka now that he is a heel. The former WWE Champion does a lot of great work.

Man, Teddy Long pimped Kane’s movie for the second week in a row?! That was tough to hear. It did make me realize that the hype for The Marine seems to have stopped.

Wow. Awesome Kennedy-Taker video followed by an even more awesome Kennedy promo. For all their going back and forth, these two haven’t had much of a match, the first blood match could be the payoff of Survivor Series.

If it wasn’t clear before, it become obvious tonight that Brian Kendrick has a crush on Ashley. It’s tough to say if Ashley cares about one partner or the other a this point, but Brian seemed upset that after she was hurt that Ashley went in to check on Paul London.

It was cool seeing Theodore Long wish Lashley a fond farewell and good luck. It leaves the door open for when Hayes is downgraded (hopefully) or if ECW doesn’t really need him. I also thought this was about the best talking Bobby has done so far.

I really liked the Street Fight. MVP is really starting to show me something after weeks of being a worthless coward. The best part of this match was when Kane punched through the phone booth, knocking the metal and glass into Porter’s face. The Kennedy-Take chaos that closed the match built of Survivor Series and gave Long grounds for the cage match he announced a little later on.

Matt Hardy and Gregory Helms just keep going back and forth, no man seems to gain the decisive edge or advantage. Right now these two look like they could fight forever.

For some reason, I find the SmackDown! main event has to have a lot going for it to keep my interest. I don’t know if it’s because there has already been 4-5 hours of wrestling already in the week, if it’s because SmackDown! is the last “commitment” I usually have before the weekend or what, but this one didn’t get me too excited. I don’t know if I’m tired of Batista-Booker or if I just didn’t care it was the end of Lashley on Friday, but I just didn’t find myself too excited for this one.

Well, this is the first wrestling show in two weeks that's kept me awake. Tatanka Vs. Benoit, Regal Vs. London, and Kane Vs. MVP all left good tastes in my mouth for once. And the Kennedy spot was just plain awesome.

It was pretty hard to top the TNA Primetime special, but Smackdown managed to do it. They've found a perfect balance between in-ring action and backstage promos. Every match managed to be good, with London/Regal stealing the show. Unfortunately, it looks like London & Kendrick are going to split up in the near future. I was actually hoping Lashley was going to stay primarily on Smackdown instead of becoming an ECW superstar. Oh well, hopefully someone is elevated to main event level now that Rey is injured and Lashley's on ECW.

My thoughts on Smackdown

The only thing I hated as ususal was the Boogeyman and I hate what he did to Kristal. I wish he would just go away.

Chris Beniot vs Tantaka was a good.

Ken Kennedy promo was awesome.

William Regal vs Paul London was a good styles clash match. Good to see Regal pick up a win. I hate Ashley got hurt though.

Kane vs MVP in the Street Fight was very good.

Batista & Bobby Lashley vs King Booker & Fit Finlay was a great main event.

Overall another great Smackdown the only good WWE show.

One last thing and I have to say this.

I am tired of the WWE constantly taking away talent away from Smackdown and always trying to make it look like the second rate show when Raw is the one that sucks. Why did they have to put Bobby Lashley in ECW? He was doing fine on Smackdown.

You know, I never did find out what happened with that angle. I was surprised when I saw it for the first time live, but viewing wrestling was very inconsistent back then, so I never got any closure to that.

I was surprised when I saw it for the first time live, but viewing wrestling was very inconsistent back then, so I never got any closure to that.Well, this was the setup for Savage defending the world title against Hogan (unsuccesfully, of course) at Wrestlemania V. The big mystery was whose corner Elizabeth would be in, and she stayed neutral, although she stopped Savage from cheating at one point and I think got kicked out of the ring area for whatever reason.

As the follow-up to WMV, Elizabeth vanished for a year or two, Savage introduced Sensational Sherrie as his manager, and got into a fued with Hogan's cheerleader, Brutus Beefcake, and Hogan started pimping his No Holds Barred movie by feuding with Zeus. All four guys (and the lady) battled in the tag team main event cage match at the following summerslam.

Ah yes, it's coming back to me. After Macho Man, she aligned herself with Shawn Michaels. I also remember "No Holds Barred" :(. I wonder what happened to Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake? I think I recall him showing up on WCW at one point, but didn't stay long.

Ah yes, it's coming back to me. After Macho Man, she aligned herself with Shawn Michaels.Actually she ended up with Ted DiBiase first after she dumped Savage following his WrestleMania VII loss. She would join Michaels shortly after his heel turn by simply saying that her "Teddy Bear" wanted her to be happy and she wanted to be with Shawn Michaels. ;)
