DRAGON BALL Z AND POWERPUFF GIRLS' POWER-PACKED PROMOTION AT BURGER KING® RESTAURANTS

"Power Pairs" Inside Big Kids' Meals Mean Double the Fun for Boys and Girls

MIAMI, FL - January 24, 2002 - Beginning January 28th, it's double the toys and double the fun for BURGER KING® Big Kids Meal customers at participating BURGER KING® restaurants nationwide. Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles, collectively known as the Powerpuff Girls, will be paired with Goku, Krillin and the rest of the Dragon Ball Z crew inside BURGER KING® Big Kids' Meals, creating double the value - and double the excitement - for young BURGER KING customers.

"The Powerpuff Girls and Dragon Ball Z characters have huge appeal among girls and boys; both properties are red-hot," said Brian Gies, director, National Promotions, Burger King Brands, Inc. "By combining two must-have toys inside our Big Kids' Meals, we've created incredible value for our young customers."

The toys are approximately 3.5 to 4.5-inches high and packaged side-by-side in special dual polybags. There will be a new power pair each week for five weeks.

In addition to the toys, each Big Kids' Meal also includes an exclusive "Orbit" code that kids can use online at Cartoon Orbit at www.cartoonnetwork.com. Kids can collect and use these codes to claim exclusive cToons of Powerpuff Girls and Dragon Ball Z characters, based on the BURGER KING® toys. cToons are digital trading cards featuring different characters. These cToons populate personal cartoon Web sites called cZones. When kids have collected all five of the Powerpuff Girls or Dragon Ball Z BURGER KING® codes, the site will grant them access to a surprise.

"We're delighted to be working with BURGER KING® to bring the magic of the Powerpuff Girls in-store to their customers, as well as extending the fun online," said Phyllis Ehrlich, senior vice president, Promotions Marketing, Cartoon Network.

"Dragon Ball Z is the ultimate battle between good and evil, with a huge helping of comedy. You couldn't ask for a better show to attract boys - and girls - to BURGER KING® restaurants," said Gen Fukunaga, president, FUNimation.
