Marvel's solicitations for February 2007! (http://www.newsarama.com/marvelnew/Feb07/dummy.html)
Highlight of the month is apparently Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born #1, (of 7)!!! That should bring some new folks into the comic shop. ;)
My own comments will come later, but for now:
So whacha gonna get?!?

Ultimate X-Men #79
One thing. Wow.
I gotta ask, though, with Spidey back in the black costume, is it just a black costume, or is it the symbiote(sp?). Because last I heard, Venom was still around.

When has stuff like that ever mattered? Pick up anyone of Marvel's book right now, the majority of them are out of character so they can have Cival War tie ins.
However, Mike Wieringo drawing the black suit will no doubt make for some of the coolest covers ever. Shame he's not drawing the interiors and they're bringing back this stupid version of Uncle Ben.

Smart-aleck commentary
- That's a real nice cover to Ultimate X-Men #79 (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview2.php?image=solicits/marvelcomics/200702/ULTX079_cov.jpg). Simple, to the point, and quite a teaser.
- Amazing Spider-Man #539: "There IS no going back." Until they do, of course.
- Neat-o Kaare Andrews cover to Spider-Man: Reign #3 (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview2.php?image=solicits/marvelcomics/200702/SPIDER003_COV.jpg).
- Black Panther #25. In no way, shape, or form do I think that Storm could go up against Thor and come out on top. Then again, from what I hear, Black Panther could beat Galactus when Reginald Hudlin writes him, so who knows? Besides, this might be that Thor clone from Civil War.
- Daredevil #94. Funniest. Cover. Ever. (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/preview2.php?image=solicits/marvelcomics/200702/DD094_COV.jpg)
- She-Hulk #16, my token Marvel monthly comic.
- Daredevil Omnibus edition, which seems to collect nearly all the Frank Miller Daredevil issues in one gonzo oversized hardcover. While I think it's neat, I still have to start in on my Uncanny X-Men Omnibus. I'm also not quite as taken by Miller's original Daredevil run enough to cough up $100 (or $55-70 after discount) to own it.
- Might grab that Beyond! HC rather than wait for the trade, like I did for the Nextwave TPB.
- Definitely getting the new Marvel Adventures Avengers digest.

Here's what I'm getting, (with occasional comments thrown in):
Amazing Spider-Man #539: I'm still betting it's the symbiote, and not just a black costume...
Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #17: Yep, this one is screaming out "movie tie-in!" But it still looks like fun!
Sensational Spider-Man #35
Civil War: The Initiative #1 (one-shot): A promo book featuring teasers for upcoming Marvel books, but it's all new material, and this may decide whether I pick up "Omega Flight" and "Might Avengers", (I know for a fact that I'm getting "New" Thunderbolts)...
Civil War: Frontline #11
Captain America #25
Iron Man #15 Marvel's taking a bit of a gamble with all of these titles having for a solicitation: "CLASSIFIED!!!"
Ghost Rider #8: Now THIS (http://images.newsarama.com/marvelnew/Feb07/cvrs/GHOSTR008_cov.jpg) is a cool cover! But it's a Civil War tie-in?!?
Daredevil #94
Dr. Strange: The Oath #5
Fantastic Four: The End #5
The Eternals #7
Incredible Hulk #103: Hulk's getting married?!? I bet the bride wakes up the next morning to find "Puny Banner" in bed with her... ;)
Marvel Legacy: The 1990's Handbook
New Avengers #27
She-Hulk #16: She-Hulk vs. Wendigo?!? This could be fun...
Silent War #2
Thunderbolts #111
Thunderbolts Presents: Zemo-Born Better #1: Might as well let Fabian Nicienza finish off his tale...
White Tiger #4
New X-Men #35
Uncanny X-Men #483
Wolverine #51
Wolverine: Origins #11
X-Factor #16
X-Men #196
Punisher Presents: Barricuda #1 Holy!!! Leave it to Garth Ennis to bring this character back! Should be fun, but where's my regular issue of Punisher MAX!?!?
And on the "Maybe I'll get it, maybe I won't" list:
Spider-Man: Reign #3
Ghost Rider: Trail of Tears #1: It's Garth Ennis and Clayton Crain, back again for more Ghost Rider action-except this time it's set in the Old West! Somehow, I think this'll be a darker story, compared to the last one which was more of a black humor book.
Onslaught Reborn #4
Punisher War Journal #4 Good grief, Punisher's got nothing better to do than kill Stilt Man?!? STILT MAN?!? I'm all for Punisher hunting down superpowered criminals, but shouldn't he go after the superpowered serial killers?!?
Legion of Monsters: Werewolf by Night #1
Hellstorm: Son of Satan #5

Punisher War Journal #4
GHOST RIDER #8
BLACK PANTHER #25
FANTASTIC FOUR: THE END #5 (of 6)
INCREDIBLE HULK #103
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #105 - Hey! MJ isn't all Sasquatchy anymore ;) Nice to see that some of the Clone Saga characters will be sticking around for at least a little while.
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #539 - Black costume starts here... now we just have to find out what drives Peter to wear it again! And is it the Symbiote or just the cloth suit?
FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN #17 - Cute movie tie-in ;) But from the looks of the cover, it's the cloth version of the suit.
SENSATIONAL SPIDER-MAN #35 - Nice cover, and the story sounds somewhat interesting, although kind of fillerish.
AMAZING SPIDER-GIRL #5 - MC2 Black Tarantula rocks! Throw in Hobgoblin and I'm looking forward to this issue :)
SPIDER-MANL REIGN #3
SPIDER-MAN LOVES MARY JANE #15 - I continue discovering how much fun this book is; I don't expect the cover and solicit to be what they seem to be though.
CIVIL WAR: THE INITIATIVE
CIVIL WAR: FRONT LINE #11 - Wow, the end of CW seems so far away due to the delays, does this mean that several issues will be released soon after one another, or is time just flying quicker than I can realize?
NEW AVENGERS #27 - Ronin equals yawn. I am curious about the line-up though. I'm assuming Spider-Man will no longer be an Avenger...
SHE-HULK #16
Wow, looks like the marketing campaign for Spider-Man 3 will be in full gear by February, as even all of the "alternate" Spider-Man titles have the black costume in them in some way, save for Spidey Loves MJ.
And could someone please explain to me why the Daredevil cover is so funny? Or does it have something to do with the word "slip" and the substance near the lady's eye? :p

ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #105 - I knew it would happen

IRON MAN: HYPERVELOCITY #2 (of 6) - I really need to see what Adam Warren had in mind with Iron Man being "new and improved".
MS. MARVEL #12
NEW AVENGERS #27 - A fight between Ronin and Electra would be cool. Leinil Yu's artwork is perfect for this story.
MARVEL ADVENTURES THE AVENGERS #10 - A Medivel fight would be awesome for an Avengers story.
MARVEL ADVENTURES SPIDER-MAN #24 - MA Venom hell YEAH!!!
WOLVERINE: ORIGINS #11
X-MEN #196
X-23: TARGET X #3 (of 6)
