Yeah Costco sells arcade machines
I'd be tempted to thrown down the asking price to purchase one if I didn't allready buy the classic compilations or own the initial releases of some of the games on consoles
Their Konami machine is about 550 bucks and has contra and frogger, but all the other games on it are kinda blah.
Konami seems to be going down the compilation route and it's only a matter of time before we see a 20-30 dollar Contra compilation in some form

You can buy a standing 4 slot Neo Geo MVS Arcade machine for $320 and buy the cartridges for each game from $5 to $100 depending on how new the game is. Then you can purchase a Jamma board and a CPS2 board for $40 each that can work of the Neo Geo MVS and get other titles from Konami and Capcom to work on there.
Of course I'm going to need some more room in a couple of years before I invest into something like that. :)

Or you could just build a cab and a PC... Consolized MVS are sexy, but they're over-priced if you want the nicer ones. Plus I hate hunting down Neo carts...

You can get a $400 PC and then make the cab for $99 and get the special joystick for $99, but bootlegs are not worth anything if you want to sell this arcade machine one day.
Also finding Neo Geo carts are easier now than you think since most people have gave up on them.

The biggest strike against it is no Pac Man, Ms Pac Man, or Donkey Kong. Throw those in, and it would be perfect.

Again that's why it's cheaper and easier to buy a Neo Geo MVS and get the boards and cartridges for those games.

getting those parts seperately are a real pain though
they are not readily available in most instances and can be very expensive

Sure, most common Neo carts are easy to find... But when you want something sem-rare, you have to pay a good amount to get it... Even AES swaps are expensive sometimes. And as for selling it... If I had an AW or MVS, there's no way I'd sell it... especially an AW, since I'm a huge HNK fan.

I'd like to buy a vowel.
AW = Atomiswave, HNK = Hokuto no Ken, and MVS = Multi Video System...

Yup... Only reason I talked like that was because we were talking about arcade cabs, so I assumed anyone posting in here would know WTF I was talking about lol.
