You guys may already know about this but there is a new game coming out this summer for the PC called "City of Heroes." The game allows it's players to customize thier own hero and play their heroes part in a city. You can even customize your own headquarters. Heroes will encounter vilians, monsters and aliens. You can from your own league of heroes with other people that are playing this RPG. Anyway thought you guys would like to know. For more info go to the games officail website www.cityofheroes.com. I looks like this is the game that comic book fans have been waiting for. It would be nice to have JL game but hey this isn't a bad idea either.

I'm really looking forward to CoH myself. The whole fame/fortune structure sounds really cool. :D

I'm looking forward to Freedom Force, myself... create your own heroes in a 60s style, then played out with Baldur's Gate-esque action... nice!

Freedom Force sounds pretty cool as well (and I'll probably end up with both games), but I like CoH just a little more because its an online multi-player game. Call me weird, but I think it will be cool to be able to join forces with my online friends to combat evil! :bosko:

I agree Arachkid. I haven't read about Freedom Force yet it sounds cool but just not as cool as City of Heroes. They have a preview on their website for the game and it's really impressive. I'm surprised that more people haven't responded to this thread. I thought that it would be really popular in this forum.

Now, do you have to pay a monthly charge to play CoH online? Or, does buying the game automatically entitle you to play online?

Unbelievable. That's the premise for a game I've only been dreaming about. This whole day has been scary on the psychic level come to think of it....anyway.

Well I know with Half Life all you need is your comp and a nice net connection. Playing online in any of the games doesn't cost anything extra (and in my opinion, with PC game sales status quo, that better stay that way). So I'm sure City of Heros will be the same way. Not sure I'd be much for Freedom Force from the sound of it, but if it's anything like City of Heroes I'm sure I'd love it.
