I don't have cable and have never watched a Birdman.

That is, if you don't count the time I was in a Tower Records (this franchise closed last month) and they were playing the Birdman DVDs on all the overhead monitors. I saw some of it THEN....

I may have to find a way to see Robot Chicken, however, as it's the only show I've ever heard of that actually makes references my own generation can honestly say they grew up with. Normally, we'll have to wait until we're thirty to see the NES or the Turtles mentioned in a TV show, as most writers have to work their way up and will never write for a show in their twenties. Which is annoying--you have no idea how badly I want to see Fox Kids or Disney Afternoon-related cutaways on Family Guy, but their childhood TV is from the late 70's and early 80's.

But somehow, Robot Chicken is making these references NOW. There was an FF7 sketch not long ago and IGN says last night they had a bit involving Calvin and one involving Mario and Luigi. That does it, I gotta see this.

Oh yeah, and if anyone at all can get me a copy of the "Devil Kirby" episode that I missed last Saturday morning, it would be appreciated.

Adult Swim's website has some (not all) of the robot chicken eps online. Just go to their website and click on "the fix".

Robot Chicken made fun of Rainbow Brite! Me and my sister remembered the show (she forced me to watch it. *writhes in pain*) I like a show that isn't afraid to make obscure references.
