Weapon X (http://www.comicon.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=13&t=000704)

A new ongoing series based on Weapon X is being made. When will the X-books end? There's just too many!

I think I'll pass this one up. I wouldn't be suprised if this book replaced Deadpool. Do we really need more X-Men titles?

I'd be upset if it replaced Deadpool. DP's getting a new writer that shows much promise, plus Udon's doing the art, and I've seen nothing but good from them.

My complaint is that Tieri keeps getting writing assignments. I honestly think it's only because he's Joey Q's friend.

I did some digging and Deadpool will be staying around for awhile - and rightfully so. The new creative team on that title will make it shine. This new title is rumored to feature Sabretooth highlighting a new team of trainees. It will also feature covert missions, etc. Wolverine and Deadpool are expected to drop in once and awhile...

I will stick with X Force and New X Men, personally!

They're also going to resurrect X-Factor, but they're being very cryptic about what the book is actually going to be about, what the team will be, etc. Hopefully it will be done well. I know that the Peter David run of the old title was pretty popular.

I just found this at http://www.slushfactory.com/cgi-bin/news/news.cgi?id=EpEEVypAFVUVsMYhTo

Comics Newsarama's intrepid columnist Mike Sangiaocmo has uncovered additional details regarding the X-Factor teaser piece Marvel sent out last week.

The project will be a four-issue miniseries starring three of the original X-Men, Jean Gray, The Beast, and Cyclops, and later members Wolverine and Nightcrawler.

It will be written by Teen Titans co-writer Jeff Jensen, whose name readers may also recognize from his comic and film reviews in Entertainment Weekly.

The artist has yet to be announced, but the teaser image was drawn by Arthur Ranson.

So, just a miniseries. It could be good.

I honestly hate all the X-books save Ultimate, New X-men, and X-Force...

Alot of the X-Men titles are pretty useless. I find most of them to just be completely uninteresting. NEW X-MEN has been astonishing, even if the regular artist has been less than so. ULTIMATE X-MEN is just an ongoing action film and I'm liking it alot. X-FORCE is just amazing. The characters are real and it's a great satire.

I also have to add that the Iceman limited series has been pretty good, and Nightcrawler hasn't been too bad, either.

I also have been enjoying Exiles. It turned out to be a very character-oriented book, which to me is a very good thing. Also, the art is really great looking. It does have a Quantum Leap-type feel, but that just helps it along.

Ultimate X-Men is pretty sweet! I'm actually looking forward to the X-Factor mini as it should be pretty good (Remember kiddies Scott, Jean and Hank were all original members of this team). Weapon X, hmm...don't know about this one - what would be Sabretooths motivation for training new recruits? He either needs to stay a good guy or be evil, no more switching! The best solution would be to bring in the AoA Creed and then we get the best of both worlds - literally. I'm still looking forward to X-Corps tho. I just hope Marvel doesn't kill this book - look what they did to X-Man, an extemely great character that was ruined and eventually killed, just like Ben Reily. I hate it when the do that!

-Joe!

Funny you mention AOA Creed, I hear he'll be popping up in eXiles soon. And I agree - I don't like Creed going back and forth between sides all the time. Sure he has his own motivations but pick a team and stick with it!!

AOA Sabes showed up in Exiles #6. It appears as if he's leading another band of misfit mutants, only this seems to be a more evil band (I know there was Deadpool, but I can't remember other members). It looks to be interesting.

I don't think our Sabertooth ever was a good character. He was captured by the X-Men in the mid-90s, and then Wolverine poked a hole in his brain, and he faked being harmless, only to bring Psylocke to near-death. Then he was captured by the government and forced to work with X-Factor, just like Mystique. I don't think he ever chose to be there.

And Sabertooth is as bad as ever. In a recent issue of Deadpool, I'm thinking either 58 or 59, he had a closet full of bodies that he had killed for fun.

So, Creed isn't going soft just yet.

Remember Gambit? That was a really good series until the end...
