Sylvester vs. Tweety. We all knew it was coming.

While I'm happy they are using other Loonietoons characters this season for villains and such it still does not m=give me much of a reason to watch the show.

Though I can see that it was nice to see the cameos of other Looney Tunes characters, I actually felt sorry for Sylvester. I mean, what Tweety did to him pretty much violates the constitutional rule "cruel and unusual punishment". And I was a little curious to see what his face looked like underneath the helmet.
And the Tech and Rev rivalry made me smile. Though I was surprised; Rev usually doesn't show to be the genius one.
My VCR cut short at the last five minutes, but who was the one who informed Sylvester that Prince Tweety was on the ship?

It was, in a twist I honestly did NOT see coming, the "Granny" character.

Joe Alaskey reprised his Sylvester and Tweety voices first done in the mid 1990's for the voices of these Loonatics counterparts. But rather than getting June Foray to voice the Loonatics version of Granny, Candi Milo supplied the voice.

I was just gonna complain about the "twist". I saw it a mile off, but I'm hoping it's because I've just seen too many shows that do stuff like that and the kids that are the target audience were able to enjoy it. I thought it would've been better if there had been another character that would've played "the more obvious suspect" so the Granny thing would be more of a "wh-at" moment.
I liked the Sylvester character. I've never liked Tweety (except for the really early versions of him) so it's not suprise I didn't care for this Tweety either.
So have the people making this show not decided if the black-on-color scheme for the Loonatics is a costume or not? In "Time After Time", where Ace kept waking up out of bed, he was black and yellow as usual. Then in this one, he wakes up and is his natual grey and white self. I actually like the Loonatics better looking au naturel and what-not, but that's the first thing that came to mind when I was watching this.

The show's producers have done some...interesting things this season. Pepe Le Pew was in last week's ep (sort of) as a human, just like Foghorn Leghorn appeared as a human in one of last season's eps. I can't say I like this, at all. It's kind of...gross. Also, Rev and Tech seem to be a bit more contentious with each other this season, and I hope that doesn't get out of hand. One of the twists I like in Loonatics is that Tech and Rev (Wile E. and Roadrunner) are pals. For some reason that's kind of cool, just like making Tech a good guy is cool.
As for this week's ep...you know, I never thought there'd be any way I'd dislike Tweety more than I already do. I stand corrected. Although, to be fair, the Loonatics version of Tweety isn't the least bit funny IMO, unlike the original Tweety. As for Granny turning against Tweety and siding with Sylvester, that I did like. Although IMO it would have been better if Tweety had turned out to be the villian, as per Scrappy in the Scooby Doo movie. I also felt sorry for Sylvester. Oh well.
Of course you realize this means that sooner or later, Elmer Fudd will show up. How he is re-imagined ought to be very interesting. All in all I still pretty much like this show, although sometimes it does throw its viewers a weird curve now and then...

I didn't see it coming either. I honestly thought it was set-up for the season-ender villain, similar to Optimatus's brief appearance in The Comet Cometh, and wouldn't be resolved in this episode.
Sylvester as a cyborg bounty hunter with prosthetic body parts to replace the ones he lost chasing Tweetums is a pretty clever idea. I guess not everyone is lucky enough to have Tech's regeneration powers. :p

What's next? Maybe a Loonatics version of Speedy Gonzales in animal or human form?
