I'm just here to say that today is a very special day for Totally Spies fans EVERYWHERE!!!

Today marks the show's fifth anniversary!!!

It was on this day, November 3rd, in 2001, that TS made its world premiere on ABC Family!

Happy Big 5, Spies!

But people are watching.

Saturday mornings at THAT ungodly hour seems like it's rarely watched by anyone.

Though, whenever anyone brings up that hour, I remember Sketch's huge rant about TMNT being removed from that slot (not that he cares anymore, now that he has almost all the Pre-FF episodes on DVD now anyways).

In Canada, Teletoon still airs in in the afternoons.

I like the show and I would rather have it on miguzi instead of pokemon chronicles or KND

I wish the lineup was

4.0 robot boy
4.5 code lyoko
5.0 pokemon
5.5 totally spies

Not nearly as huge a rant as some of his other rants. (Bleach on AS, 4Kids One Piece, etc.)

Well did CN aired 'Totally NOT Spies' or the latest season finale, the 3 parter 'Totally Busted' ?

Sad thing is: they haven't...yet.

CN still has a little less than half of season 4 to air as we know it!
*letting a couple of envious thoughts of Teletoon run slowly through my head!*

Hope that explains a lot! :D

When I first read Stargirl's 1st post of this topic, I felt like I was in agony because I thought Totally Spies ended up back at Disney's TV archives and I also thought it was heading straight to Jetix for that reason until I read the thread's 1st post correctly. I knew that was impossible, because Cartoon Network is recently sitting on the rights and Time Warner is one of Disney's rivals. Totally Spies should end up on Style Network if CN's rights ever expires.

Perhaps, What Stargirl meant to say was "Fox Family", not "ABC Family", since the show premiered in the US before Fox Kids and Fox Family was sold to Disney.

Yay. 5th aniversary. The last new episode aired this season was in August, and there probably won't be a new one until January or so... the 5th season & probably final season is also going to be ready by spring/summer 2007.

I can't believe i'm saying this, but this season jumps the shark. Whoever though season 3 was bad? This season just isn't going good at all (at least for me). The best season of Totally Spies was season 2. (as for every other show i like that seems to be a cooincidence.) hmm, but anyways, that season added so much suspense, drama and comedy. Seriously, it was fantastic.

Then because CN officially had the rights to the series, there were a lot of changes and that had to do with the 3rd season. Although, only the first 13 or so episodes of season 3 was bad, the last 13 were terrific if you haven't seen them yet.

But as i caught a glimpse of the season 4 finale (totally busted) by the spies parents, i could tell that this series was going to exploit whatever it could to the very end... and thats what we wanted in the beginning, but now its not such a good idea. Plus the spies act like they can handle everything and anything these days, its just not as suspensful. Or maybe i'm just growing out of it. That's my rant.

Off-topic, but I hope your sig is a joke, Emeperor Merlin. No matter what they did, the workers at 4Kids don't deserve a fate that harsh. Saying that they do is just blantant melodrama and worthless anger.

On topic, has it really been 5 years already for this show? Wow, I thought it was newer than that.

It's because Cartoon network picked it up in summer of 2003. It first ran on ABC/Fox Family in 2001-2002 but they kicked it off after the network was sold and for a year it was homeless.

That sig is only expressing my hatred for 4Kids and the way that company dubs anime and other foreign acquisitions. I would never wish for anything that horrible to happen to anyone in real life, even if it's a total a-hole like Al Khan.

They don't dub anime. They just acquire the licenses.

If they acquire the licenses to those acquisitions, then they could legally dub them.

I don't care what people do to anime at all. In fact, it's downright charming when they dumb it down and chop it up. It's insignificant.

Anyway, wow. It's hard enough for me to think of Cartoon Network itself as having been around as long as it has...it still feels like a brand new channel to me.

*facepalm*

They could, but they don't. That's the keyword, and you seem to be missing it.

The dubbing that you think is done by 4Kids is really done by actual studios that 4Kids has contracts with.

Anyway, enough about that. This has gone off-topic now.
