DBZ: Cooler's Revenge

Anyone see this yet? I went out and bought it last night at Best Buy for $15 (shameless plug). Anyone care to post their thoughts on it?

BTW, I DO NOT want this thread to turn into a war of "DBZ suxx!" vs. "DBZ r00lz!!!" posts. Just movie thoughts. Personally, I liked the cool rock music, but thought that they ovedid it a little. And, I thought it was a little ironic that they played "Change" by the Deftones when Goku goes SSJ. Anybody else?

I never liked ANY of the music in English DBZ, except on Movies 1-3, and you know what that was.

I saw it, I thought the Japanese version was better. I really hate that rock music that they're useing on it. :mad:

Anyway...Was the DVD on sale?! $15?! If I wasn't saving for Sonic Advance, I'd get this.

I haven't heard much of the original music, but as it stands, i don't mind the english dbz music. There was some music during the cell saga that I really liked too.

I guess it was on sale, mainly because the Funimation store has it priced at $25 US. Then again, Best Buy's DVDs are all really cheap (another shameless plug).

You're not the only human being.....I guess we can just put up with it I guess. As for the movie, they're on Cooler's Revenge ALREADY!?!?(that's movie 6, right?) I remember buying the fansubs a few years ago like it was yesterday.....man, a no where near crystal quality tape, and arguably a bad translation, those were the days. I guess I'll pick it up, if it's 15 bucks where I live, of course!;)

Damned if I know. I can't tell if the animation is edited, but the Japanese subtitles left in all the swear words. I hope it's unedited. I sent an e-mail to the DBZ Online Store on Tuesday after I bought it, but I haven't gotten a response yet.

I'm not a huge DBZ fan, but friend is. I watched movie 6 over at his house one time and it has my favorite line ever from DBZ in it. Now mind you, I do know this wasn't in the original and was something that some fansubber threw in his translation, but when Vegeta gets smacked around and then says "S***! I'm about to pass out." I roared with laughter.

I thought that movie 6 was one of the one's w/ Broli in it? I know that there's 3 of them.......yup, he's my favorite "Saiyan Warrior".

It probably wasn't that specifically, but probably something of that nature. DBZ didn't have as much cursing as most online and younger fans would like to think. I have a fansub of movie 9(I think) when Gohan, Goten, and Trunks fight Brolly again. Near the end of the movie, out of the sky blue, Goku tells Gohan to open up "a can of whoop ass!" Inspirational words I guess.:p

I'm just curious, if the movies are on video/DVD, and if they are rated, then what movie rating do they have? It's not G, but it's definitely not PG either. Just curious. :)

yeah, i agree with every one else. the movie was ok., but the soundtrack sucked! in my opinon the lord slug track was alot better. I can aleast say that it isn't my favorite so far.

Anyway, I don't think any of the music that is used in the Dub is any good. Thank god for subs.

Yeah, the sub was a little better. I watched it again last night, and realized something after a quick trip to the net: this movie was made in 1991. That's 12 years ago! Did anyone else find themselves thinking that it had really good animation for being older than some of the members here?
