Did they ever show the orignal Pokemon, The Animated Series on Cartoon Network? Anyone know where I could find where this airs?

Pokemon TAS?
What an odd title.

Not anymore. Pokemon is off of Boomerang completely. But the first 26 eps come out on DVD 11/21/06.

They're seprating it by 25 episodes each? The first part when he goes to Indigo League, that was my favorite. How come they didn't show that or the Orange League on WB or Cartoon Network?

They showed the Indigo League and Orange Islands on WB and CN.
Heck, half of the Indigo League and all of the Orange Islands PREMERED on WB.
(The CN airings of those arcs was back in, like, 2002.)

I'm aware of that, I mean, does any of the Pokemon episodes ever show on the new CW or Cartoon Network? I've heard that they took it down for some reason.

Pokemon rules, especially the 4Kids dub.
CN knows that. They'd be stupid to let go of it anytime soon.

Why would the rights expire only 4 months after they started playing them?

Well, Kanto has all those old DVDs, along with the upcoming boxsets, and Orange Islands had three boxset-type things.

Pokemon The Animated Series eh? (http://www.dcuanimated.com/gallery/v/BatmanPokemon/)
Well, Kanto has all those old DVDs, along with the upcoming boxsets, and Orange Islands had three boxset-type things.
The Orange Island DVDs are just three singles, just loaded with episodes. They're about as much a boxset as any random anime DVD.
The Kanto League hasn't aired on general CN in about 3 or 4 years, but it was showing on Boomerang for a while until it was recently pulled. The Orange League last aired about 2-3 years ago, though that was the latter 3rd of the Orange Islands (aka the beginning of Season 3), and is currently streaming on Toonami Jetstream.
As was said before, the first 1/3 of Kanto will be hitting DVD shelves later this month. You can still find the Orange Islands DVDs if you look hard enough, but it'll likely get its own boxset sometime next year, so I wouldn't look too hard.

Pokemon rules, but the 4Kids dub was absolutely awful(although PUSA's isn't much better from what I hear).
