I know many fans want more animated stories and Media Blasters continues to ask for more episodes. But, the question is, how should it continue? Should new episodes continue after episode 25 or should it start from the beginning and be more accurate to the manga(a la Hellsing Ultimate) in a new TV show or OVA?

As much as I love the TV series, I think the story needs to be redone from the start. They cut a lot out the first time around, important stuff that comes up in later story arcs and cannot be ignored.
But it will never happen. Miura will likely be an old man before he ends Berserk, and he has stated that he does not want anything else to be animated until the story is almost over. Plus Studio VAP seems cool towards the idea of doing more of Berserk, so the situation is not good for fans.

It should be redone, I wasn't even that thrilled with its canon presentations either.

They just need to start off with the main story from the manga and continue this on from episode 25.

I never watched the anime, but I'm positive that atleast 50% of Berserk's content would still not fly on TV in Japan today. The manga is the only form of it as far as I'm concerned.

It's been a while since I've read the first 13 chapters, but from what I remember, there's not that much stuff left out that's essential to the story. Silat can be written in later, Skull Knight's first appearance really isn't critical, Wyald doesn't show again... Really, the only major piece that's left out is the background info given when the Hawks are busting Griffith out of the Tower of Rebirth. Things could just pick up from outside the vortex in a second season without causing too many problems.
On the other hand, as much as I enjoyed the anime, I have to admit, the animation was sort of limited. By that I mean the frequent (especially early on) still panning technique used during action sequences. And of course, it would be nice to get a more faithful adaption of the manga like Hellsing (even though I personally believe the anime did a pretty damn good job).
Either way, I'd just be happy to see the anime continue. Who knows how long the manga will run though, lol... Oh well, I'm sure it'll happen one of these days.

I'd rather they just did Berserk as a series of 1-2 hour movies. Start over and have the first movie be Guts' introduction and him fighting the slug king. The second movie will cover the Gambino story. The third is where he ends up joining the Band of the Hawk. Have a fourth at the point when Casca gets her period and whatnot (sorry, can't think of a better way of saying it), whereas the fifth would be when Guts leaves and Griffith gets captured. Obviously movie #6 would cover the gap and Griffith's rescue. Finally, movie #7 would be the birth of Femto and whatever happens afterwards (don't know what happens past vol 13).
Or, if they wanted to do another anime, just continue where 25 left off. They can easily add the Skull Knight in there and when he appears, a flashback is shown of when Guts first met him (not like they haven't moved around flashback stories before). Then they could move upward and go into the story arc with the slug king and continue from there (provided the series ever goes back into the present time).

I'd be very scared to see what any new Beserk would look like. Part of its charm was the fact that it was hand drawn, kinda rough around the edges and gritty as a Saharan sandstorm. Any new production would be so digitalized that I don't think I'd recognize it. For change, their limited budget actually helped the show, IMO.
If they were to though, just pick up outside the vortex. There's very little that's really missing from the manga that was majorly important.

I'm actually glad they cut out Wyald, since I thought he was an extremely uninteresting character (what did he do besides rape and pillage? I mean, c'mon) and he was just there for shock value. Really, the only stuff they did cut that shouldn't have been cut out was the Skull Knight's appearance and him saving that lone Hawk member (forgot his name), but if there was a second season, those could be written in as flashbacks.
That said, I'm more for the idea of just picking it up where it left off than just start from the beginning. I don't think Books 1-3 are really all that important and they could of give away the plot. But where it really becomes a problem is with content. If you thought the Band of the Hawk arc was graphic, the one that follows it doesn't even compare.

Structurally volumes 1-3 make for a much better flow than just the episode 1 stuff.
The stuff cut out of the anime may not have been completely unwriteinable but that still would be apsurd to do.
Silat, Puck, Skull Knight, Gaiseric, Gutt's rape, Charlottes expanded character, the King going senile, Rickert living, etc. DO hve to be explained.
Flashing back to them and starting with the end of the Eclipse will be majorly akward.
And as said, the content post Eclipse will NEVER be allowed on TV...
Yeesh, torture chamber.....
PS: Wyald's purpose was being Gutt's apostle education. Both in nature and in fighting them. The tatics he uses to fight him you see later.
