According to series creator and god of geekdom Genndy Tartakovsky, the proposed live-action movie starring the time-traveling samurai has indeed stalled.

1. No movie would have every major studio work on it. If a movie were to be made(and extremely coubtful) It would probally be Warner Brothers, cartoon Network, and Legendary Studios/some other WB partnered productino company

2. Why remake something that isnt even 5 years old? Even the movie studios arent that power hungry to release the same thing within 5 years
