Trading Cards vs. Show

when it comes down to the show's like yugioh or pokemon or all the other shows that involve trading cards, mostly the kids dont even watch the show they just watch it to see what kinda new monsters or cards they can try to find or try to collect or their either looking in the yugioh mags or anime mags.. i know most people thinks it makes no sense and also thinks that the show has no concept what so ever execpt for dueling, but when it comes down to the show vs. the trading cards, i think that the cards win... i dont even know how yugioh gx is still making it on cn beacuse it went off for a while... now naruto is another story beacuse thats just plain awsome!!:D i wanna hear your thoughts on this it means alot to me who is winning these children and adults over the show or the cards???!!!?!

I don't think Pokémon applies to this situation. I mean, yea, a bunch of the card designers are character designers on the anime, but the TCG cards have only shown up twice in the anime, and both times were edited here in the US. There is a manga focused on the TCG in Japan, but it hasn't been brought over here in the US yet.

The TCG is just a pretty supplement to the video games, especially since unlike the video games, the anime doesn't really affect the TCG much (sans Jessie, James, and Cassidy via the Team Rocket expansions).
