Several years ago I had ripped them all into avis and wmvs... ...Though this site forbids sharing, hopefully they'll allow me to speak about other places that I had shared them with. They were easily accessible to download, however after a year of doing this, I was saddened to see that NO ONE was sharing what I gave. The only way ANYONE could download them was from me, and I would have to be online to do so. So I stopped, and pretty soon my HD crashed and I lost everything...

...but those files are still out there... ...today I found them on youtube. People DID share them! They uploaded what I had ripped!!! How do I know? Quality... ...my tapes were bad... ...bad tracking, bouncing, dark, and really old station bugs, were what allowed me to realize what was mine and what was not.

I'm so happy... ...my efforts werent a waste of time... ...people really did care. People really did share.

Course, with the DVDs coming out, who needs crappy 90s VHS and youtube? But still, pretty cool to see where they all went. Like a virus (evil laugh)

I wouldn't chuck the tapes just yet----the stuff that wouldn't make it to DVD (the network/local station bumpers, logos, etc.) might make it of interest to someone (such as the YouTube crowd; I use YouTube to collect various station/network/show bumpers...).

Still have my early-KWB-era VHS tapes in storage somewhere (complete with the Sister Sister twins trying to make a gookie)...
