What are your favorite time travel episodes of cartoons? Some of mine are:
Transformers: War Dawn and Forever is a long time coming
Futurama: Roswell that ends well
JLU: The once and future thing

Justice League's "The Savage Time" comes to mind for me... mostly because I'm a history geek with WWII as a focus.

Best line: "...fascinating."

Other than that, I usually don't like time travel episodes... in fact, I can downright hate them sometimes (see my thoughts on Danny Phantom's "Ultimate Enemy" for example ).

Favorite time-travel episodes:

- "Peabody's Improbable History", from Rocky & Bullwinkle.

- The Fairly OddParents' "Father Time"

- Superfriends' "Secret Origins" episode where the Legion of Doom interferes with Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern's origins. Also the episode where Superman prevents Krypton from exploding (and returns to a world where the Legion took over Earth and destroyed the Hall of Justice and Superfriends save for sole survivor Robin...)

- The animated "Back to the Future" cartoon; particularly the episodes where they went back in time to 1967 (because of a supposed alien sighting Biff Tannen witnessed that caused trouble in the present) and the epsiode where Marty, Jules and Verne went back to Doc's childhood in the 1920s (and accidentially made him a silent movie stunt star).

Can't think of many right now, but definitely "The Savage Time" from JUSTICE LEAGUE. Pure awesomeness!

And I always liked the "Back to the Past" two-parter from BIONIC SIX when I was little, though it took a few years before I was finally able to catch Part 2.

"Flashback" from Static Shock
"Future Shock" from Ruby-Spears' Mega Man cartoon series
"The Savage Time" from Justice League

My all-time favorite is Days of Future Past from X-Men TAS. I also really liked One Man's Worth from the same series.

I really enjoyed The Savage Time and The Once and Future Thing from Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. I think the X-Men TAS episodes were better, though, because they had more tragic consequences for the characters.

Also, throw in I Saw Stroker Killing Santa (aka A Cold, Dead, White Christmas)from Stroker and Hoop. I laughed a lot at this one. You can, too, since it's free on Adult Swim.com right now. "Please, sir, can I have some more?!"

I liked "Gargoyles" time travel episodes... because it is one of the few shows where time travel actually makes sense.

The first Kim Possible 'movie' or three-part episode "A Sitch In Time" will always be high on the scale of time-travel episodes in my book. The best quote:

Ron: Time travel: it's a cornucopia of disturbing concepts.

I liked the ninth season of the Smurfs where some of the Smurfs ended up traveling through time in different countries trying to find their way home.

And there's this series on the Discovery Channel I found interesting called Time Warp Trio. About three boys who get a magic book that takes them anywhere in time and we learn about history.

And the Dexter's Lab movie, Ego Trip, where Dexter meets all his future selves and learns the fate of the world and how he ends up saving it.

What about the Darkwing Duck episode "Time and Punishment" (Darkwing did the bad pun first) where in the future DW has become Darkwarrior Duck?

Roswell That Ends Well....one of the best Futurama episodes,IMO....I loved Zoidberg's scenes in this...

Time and Punishment....One of The Simpsons "Treehouse of Horrors" shorts....Homer accidently makes the toaster into a time machine, and keeps changing his reality...

Any of the Gargoyles time travel episodes, though I really like "Future Tense" best of all of them(I thought it presented an interesting,if sad, potential future...)

Although not quite as good as some of the episodes allready mentioned, I do happen to very much like Yesteryear from Star Trek: TAS.

Even though Time Squad is all about time traveling, my favorite episodes from that show are "Planet of the Flies", "Where the Buffalo Bill Roams" & "Every Poe Has a Silver Lining".

Other Favorite Time Traveling Episodes:

Angry Beavers "Same Time Last Week" - I find it funny how Dag was able to annoy Norb during one whole week.(Like eating chips while Norb was sleeping)

Angry Beavers " Friends, Romans, Beavers!" - It was really funny on how they made the giant cyclops(Or should I say biclops) monster walk.

Danny Phantom "The Ultimate Enemy" - That's one of the best time traveling episodes I've ever seen. So many twists & turns all within one hour. You gotaa love Dark Danny, he's so evil. And ClockWork's a very interesting character.

Oddly enough, that's why I don't like Phantom...

But, there's a whole temporal causality loop that the show opens: Danny knew how Phantom came to be since he went to Vlad's in 2015. All he has to do is not go to Vlad's, and the accident in his lab doesn't happen, and the Nasty Burger explosion may not even happen (he wouldn't be around to screw things up/ensure the gang's demise). If they had Danny going rogue right on the spot, it'd be fine. But since there was a whole sequence of events after that, and he knew about it, it kinda negates the whole "If everyone dies, Danny becomes Phantom" dealie. As for Phantom bragging he was still there... it doesn't mean he's the future, it just means his creation hasn't been prevented yet.

I do agree on Clockwork though. His character design (especially the aging appearence) is great.

EDIT: I'm not trying to turn this thread into another TUE debate, I'm just speaking my peace...:sad:

South Park - "Go, God, Go, Part II"
Futurama - "Roswell That Ends Well"
Challenge Of The Superfriends - "Secret Origins"
Stroker & Hoop - "I Saw Stroker Killing Santa (aka A Cold, Dead, White Christmas)"
Family Guy - "Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story"
Aqua Teen Hunger Force - "Cybernetic Ghost Of Christmas Past From The Future", "The Dressing" (Do those count since the CGoCPFTF is from the future... or the past... or something?)
Sealab 2021 - "Lost In Time"

What about the Darkwing Duck episode "Time and Punishment" (Darkwing did the bad pun first) where in the future DW has become Darkwarrior Duck?

Oh yeah! One of the best eps of the series. I also liked the episode where he and Quackerjack went back to medeval times. Mainly for the scene where Darkwing stalls for an entire day trying to 'summon' a solar eclipse.

X-Men TAS: I forget the names of the episodes, but they had a really cool two-parter time travel episode. In the first part Bishop goes back in time to stop Apocalypse. In the second part, Cable goes back in time to stop Bishop from stopping Apocalypse.
