Just a little something for you FoxTrot fans. I scanned one of the earliest interviews of the "FoxTrot" creator Bill Amend. It ran in Cartoonist PROfiles on December of 1989.

I included all the "FoxTrot" strips than ran with it.

Good work, Baker. I've always had a soft spot for those really old FoxTrot strips where JASON PLAYS AN APPLE II.

I didn't know he actually made Trek Wars--that's appeared as a movie poster in several strips. Cool....

Yeah, it's amazing reading those old "FoxTrot" strips, with references to 1980s pop culture, compared to 2000s pop culture in newer strips.

Oh, and this is what Bill Amend drew for April Fools Comic-Strip Switch of 1997.

Some cartoonists in that April 1st prank did a one-by-one switch (ie: Scott Adams and Bil Keane switched each other's strip) and some did a multipul way switch (like in this case). You can see the list here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comic_strip_switcheroo).

I can honestly say that's the first time I've ever laughed at Zippy the Pinhead.

A guy who was in charge of "American Color" (a company that handles Sunday comics for newspapers) used to have a website that put up some of the Switcheroo strips. Unfortunately, he died few years back and the site went offline.
