Best Batman Animated Movie which one?

This may surprise many, but I started out liking PHANTASM most of all, then it was Batman Beyond ROTJ, But now I recently fell in love with MOTB and I can't shake it.

The only thing I didn't like about ROTJ was that it reminds me of how they wasted Tim Drake in my opinion.

I sure do hope we get more DCAU DVDs. Kid Flash/The Flash, Nightwing, Green Arrow, Martian Manhunter, Captain Marvel, Young Justice, etc.

That was a big problem for me as well. Not really that it was "unbelievable" (it is a cartoon after all), but I just felt cheated that it wasn't really the Joker after all, and that was a big factor in my unenjoyment of the movie. That, and the fact that I just never really cared for the whole BATMAN BEYOND thing to begin with. It kinda irked me for awhile that the first time we finally got a PG-13 animated Batman movie, it was BATMAN BEYOND and not something in the style of B:TAS or even TNBA.

About the only thing I liked in ROTJ was the classic B:TAS-style score during the flashback sequence, and I do feel Mark Hamill gave it his all and delivered one of his very best performances, in any type of media. But otherwise, a big thumbs down from me.

Oh, I agree. Mark Hamill did an excellent job. The only part in the movie that I liked was the flashback sequence, when it WAS really the Joker. I wish I could have seen the explicit version.

This is my favourite Batman movie animated or live action.

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Because the DCAU had a definate future with Beyond it was great to see a Batman film that had some finallity to it like DKR. The scene with Joker and Batman in the projection room still gives me chills, "just a scared little boy crying for mummy and daddy" (not exact but thereabouts).

MotP is great too and probably prefferable to the live action stuff also (although Begins was cool and I can't wait for the next one!)

I love ROTJ and MOTP. I think theyre great movies but I give the very slight nod to ROTJ. I dont see why people complain about the twist in it, I mean its not a fake Joker it is THE Joker, he even says that he'll be able to stay that way permanantly, so how is that not really him? I always thought that was obvious but it seems to fly over some peoples heads...somehow. I think partly I like it better cuz it looks more like a movie, as opposed to MOTP which looks like an extended episode( tho I know why thats the case ). And also nothing is ever to ridiculous in a world based on comics, hell just read one and you'll see why theyre have been alot more ludicrous plots than that.

It's not physically the original Joker, it's just something that turns Tim Drake into, basically, a clone of the Joker. That's what irked me about it and made me feel cheated.

Well yes and no, its more like a sick way of cheating death but yea i hear ya, sometimes tho it confuses people, which is what i find weird. I never really was bothered too much by it. Thats what years of watching superheroes will do to you children:p .

It was a toss up between MOTP and ROTJ. I chose ROTJ because it has one of the biggest and most shocking moments in DCAU history.

In terms of story and plot I'd say MOTP = ROTJ
In terms of shock value I'd say ROTJ > MOTP

So ROTJ edges out MOTP by a hair.

You're not the only one -- The Batman vs. Dracula is my favorite, too. I even said so in the last two threads like this one. Yet every time a new thread for this subject is made, my favorite Bat-film is left off the voting choices. I'm beginning to think I'll need to create a new thread myself next time just so I can get it on the ballot! :p

Of the choices listed, I'd vote for Mask of the Phantasm, but I reserve the right to vote for The Batman vs. Dracula as my favorite!
