Wow! I was surprised to get the old Batman & Robin intro today, and no idiot announcer over the credits! EEEEE!!!

I hope they continue this trend. :D

No STAS intro though... darn...

Don't worry, they will probably make their own stupid intro for the show soon enough. Gotta have an identity for Toonami or some dumb thing like that.

i cant stand those stupid toonami intros

I agree. If anybody who has any influence on CN can read this: the fans here DO NOT like those intros! I know it's been argued that the intros give the shows their unique identity for the shows on the block, and whatever, but there are other blocks of programming that do not rely on changing the openings for the shows to remind the viewers what block they are watching. We're a pretty smart bunch here, there are other and better ways to remind us we are watching Toonami.

I wasn't too fond of the Toonami intros, either. Sure - they were probably seem as a way to "freshen" the shows or whatever, but it just doesn't seem right. The intro is already a classic to begin with. Why mess with a good thing?

Hmm, I asked myself the same thing when Sega redesigned Sonic for the Dreamcast.

Then again, CN has allowed us to hear the cool "ending theme" for Batman Beyond for the first time, since KWB always turns credits into commercials...

KWB wanted to give you incentive to buy the soundtrack. ;)

They've always had the Toonami intros to those shows while they were on Toonami; they just also put the regular intro in as well. They stopped during the second week of showing Batman Beyond.

I actually like the Superman one. Especially the music. That is probably one of the best inros Toonami has put together. In fact, I liked all of the Toonami intros, the one for Batman & Batman Beyond.

I guess it's all just a matter of personal taste.

They don't have to lose those intros, just re edit them to make them cool bumpers. IMO, they would make better bumpers than intros to the shows.

I like those Toonami intros. The only one I don't like is the Batman Beyond one not because of the clips they show, but because of that annoying sound when the episode title shows up (sounds like a CD skipping).

...and if I get up at 6 am, I want to see the classic Thundercats intro!!!

Just show both intros, prob. solved. That will probably never happen cause then that would be one less commercial to air! http://community.sierra.com/Images/emoticons/rolleyes.gif

Well, that's what they used to do.

But sadly, you're correct, they would lose out on 30 secs. of commercial time, and we surely can't have that...

I don't mind the Toonami intros, but I do wish they showed the S:TAS intro like they showed the Batman and Robin one. (I miss that. :( )

Yeah, there's no way they'd show both intros. I just think the Toonami ones are toatally lame, stupid, unnecessary and annoying. Why mess with a good thing? Just to annoy the fans?

It doesn't really matter though, I prefer B:TAS with weirdo Toonami intros than no B:TAS at all. :)

i agree with that thegame8866(btw, does that have to do with triple h, the wwf wrestler?, just wondering)

I agree, but the Superman intro lacks the intensity and excitement of the Batman ones. Plus the quotes they run over the Superman Toonami intro are cool.

Yet, they do. At least for B:tAS

i personally think that toonami should keep the original intros, the batman beyond 1 was just horrible, the other ones are ok, i guess, but they should stick with the originals, but both is cool

"fans here DO NOT like those intros!"

[indent]A lot of Toonami fans DO like the intros. Great original music, plus video and audio clips that really kickstart the beginning of a show. The original intros for Batman and Superman are great also, but the intros are something that makes Toonami unique. One idea that has been brought up on Toonami message boards before is to use the original intros for shows as promos along with the current "music video" type things they produce now.

Ahh, look out, it's a CN plant! Let's get 'im! (j/k) :D

Original music? You mean that constant staticy sound in the background?

Ok, I am not advocating getting rid of them entirely, just either edit them so they can be used as stylish bumpers, or go back to having the intro segway into the actual intro for the show (and cut back on the commercials for 30 seconds! ) That way, both parties would be happy.

[indent]What is "static" to you is great stuff to a lot of Toonami fans. Many of us even bought the Deep Space Bass Toonami CD.

No, I mean LITERALLY static. The "Now back to Batman Beyond" is the most prominent example.

They butchered the fantastic batman beyond intro.

I think they should make a super heroe block, they have enough cartoons, or a comic cartoon block. somethin like that.
