In the year 200X, Netto and Rockman, along with their friends, had defeated such threats as World Three, Gospel, Nebula, the Darkloids, Duo, Neo World Three, Grezar, and Cache.
In the year 22XX, these adventures are only in legend. But, history repeats itself.
Subaru Hoshikawa is a 11-ish year old boy with an FM named War-Rock. Whenever there's danger, Subaru and War-Rock merge to become Rockman.

What? It's premiring already?! I still haven't found or seen all of Rockman.exe Beast + yet! Crap, I'm behind, and I'm supposed to be J.E. Smith's rival when it comes to Rockman.exe information in talkbacks!

15 minute format or 30 minute format?
Is it still stuck with Ape Escape the animation?

That's my question too.
I think it may be full 30 min episodes, but no one seems to care enough about Ape Escape to say if this is still stuck with it.
(I'm gonna say to wait until the raw is on the net to find out.)

From what I've gathered, Ryusei no Rockman will be 10 minutes long per episode and share its timeslot with Ape Escape, like Rockman EXE Beast Plus did. It also seems that the plot will proceed much slower. The first four episodes are titled, in order of airdate, "Runaway Warrock", "First Contact", "Radio Wave Virus", and "Radio Wave Conversion!". By the titles of the first four episodes, it seems Subaru and Warrock won't combine into Rockman until the fourth episode.
While we're waiting, what did everyone think of the last episode of Rockman EXE? Personally, I thought everything leading up to the ending was great. Then, they just sorta ran out of time and that was that. No "End of Rockman EXE" or anything. Even the music at the end of the episode was the generic "everything's OK" music.
I'm disappointed that they forgot about Forte. I'd think he'd at least do something. I think he would be better suited to the role of waking up Netto and Rockman than Trill.
I'm also bummed that Rockman didn't become Saito. I thought for sure that they were waiting to reveal it in the last episode, and I thought I would be right when I read that the last episode's title was "Netto + Rockman." I was wrong, though.

Schedule page says episodes last 30-minutes.

There's been some debate over that at the Rockman.exe Online forums. Apparently, that schedule is referring to the entire timeslot, not just Ryusei no Rockman. Also, the preview at the end of the Rockman/Ape Escape timeslot still showed both shows together.

I'm saying now that if it's 10 minues, it's over and RnR is finished.
It's bad enough when Xebec were screwing over .exe, but to screw something over before it even begins...

Well, some good news. Xebec isn't cramming 24 minutes into 10 minutes this time around. The episode itself feels like it was originally 24 minutes, and cuts halfway. Though I don't have any proof at the moment, but the pacing is going that way.

Honestly, I can't see this doing RnR any good. I meen come on, it's an insult to be tied to Saru Get You...that is unless they've done Mescal Gear Solid yet...
They have done Mescal Gear Solid, right?

Here's a basic summary of episode one:
Subaru's father, Daigo, was on a space station helping with some tests when something goes wrong. He uses a special device called a Visualizer to look at the radio wave experiment they were conducting and sees a strange being. The station then blows up.
After the title screen, a brief summary of the wave roads is shown. Three satellites called Ice Pegasus, Fire Leo, and Green Dragon support a global radio wave network. Navis, programs, and even viruses exist in it. People use devices on their wrists called Transers that can access the radio wave world.
Subaru is shown looking at the radio waves in the sky using his father's Visualizer, which was recovered. He remembers the day he got the Visualizer and was told his father disappeared.
Later on at home, Subaru tries to use the microwave to cook something, but it is infected with Metool viruses. He opens his Transer and slots in a battle card, which instantly deletes all the viruses. He and his mother then begin to eat. The class president from Subaru's school, named Luna, soon comes and interrupts the meal.
Meanwhile in space, more of the strange beings are surrounding one of their own, called War Rock. War Rock says he won't allow himself to be captured and zooms off just as the asteroid they were explodes. He then speeds of through space, knowing more of his own kind, called FMs, will come after him wherever he goes.

From what I'm reading, they seem to have skipped 2 and 3 (for now), and went straight for an adaption of Ape Escape 4.

An interesting opening salvo. Like the idea of the living radio network, you kinda of forget that there are so many different radio waves bouncing around all over earth and space in real life.
Seems like a seperate universe than an alternate timeline of the EXE.verse.
A good 1st eps.

I haven't watched any SF yet, but in all honesty, I liked Beast+ being 10 minutes long. While I did enjoy EXE, the problem is that it dragged on for way too long. There was no need for a lot of those series to be 50 episodes, especially Stream. Stream could have been done in 30 or so. They just have way too much filler in these seasons. Thankfully Beast was only 26, AND it felt more orginally than the other three series. As for Beast+, I haven't watched them all yet, but after ep 12, I'm not sure where the series is going as they seemed to have totally forgotten about both Zero AND Bass.

Oh, and whilst we're at it, the inspector is a decentent of the pipo monkies.
Also, with the exception of (and I'm saying this on a casual basis, as in it's only a tag at the moment) Yaito's decendent, the scoobies are a right bunch of unlikebales. Here's hopeing they get to Roll and fliping fast.
I've said my piece.

I don't think Konami wants Solid Snake to appear in a Sony Anime.

I don't think Konami wants Solid Snake to appear in a Sony Anime. It's not Konami's call, it's Kojima's. And he gets kicks out of this sort of stuff.

Zero self-destructed to destroy his copy, Zero One, and save his new friends. And for Bass, all I have to say is he better be in Star Force in some form, or else I will hate the anime writers for not doing anything worthwhile with him.
In the Battle Network manga, on the other hand, Bass pretty much has to do with everything. In fact, the number of times he's absorbed by some bad guy as a power-up verges on ridiculous. If you like him, check out the manga.

I know that, I saw that episode, but I can't believe they would just kill Zero off like that. He did like a little panzy, which was completely out of character for a character as cool as Zero.
I like Bass, but I can't stand the manga as Viz has pretty much dubbed it like they dubbed teh anime.
As for Star Force, I'm through with it. The third episode was a waste of time and I am not going to sit there for hours on end (when you put them together) in case it gets better.

The third episode was a waste of time and I am not going to sit there for hours on end (when you put them together) in case it gets better. You picked the wrong episode to stop, IMO. Episode 4 was much, much better than the first three. In all fairness, episode 4 really should have been episode 2 or 3, as we really didn't need three episodes of boring set-up, but hopefully we're past all that now.
I'm not so sure I like Rockman's whole "Warlock hangs off of Subaru's hand and eats Battle Cards" transformation - it's quite cheesy looking - but I'll get used to it.
Kinda' funny, though, how Rockman gets his name in this show.

They are battle cards; not chips. Also, why is "Neo" Rockman on a battle card? Was its creator phychic? Of course, you can ask the same about the battle chips with "original" Rockman.

My guess is that it never occured to the animation team that they could replace Rockman with a generic character on those chips/cards.

They are battle cards; not chips.Sorry; it was a typo. Being so used to battle chips, it's not hard to see why I'd type battle chips while thinking battle cards, now, is it? But, hey, if it bothers you so much, then... *post edited*

Wow. It has been a long time since anyone posted in this topic. I hope this is not necroposting. Anyway, it is a shame Ryusei no Rockman is about 9 minute episodes instead of about 30 minutes. This series has a great plot, but the time constriction is killing this show. Of course, they should have more on-line battles like in Rockman.exe instead of weird battles between two bizarre sprites.

30 minutes? Don't you mean 22 minutes? Or rather, 19 when you take out the opening and closing songs.
Anyway, I gave up on this series after ep 5 (at least I think that is the one with the guy and the jetpack). Has it gotten any better?

Unfortunately, no. It episodes are too sure to have any true affect, and the battles are no where as entertaining as those between two or more NetNavis. Even seeing battle an army of viruses would be better than this.

The problem is the timeing of the episodes, if they were 20 minutes, everything could be expanded and such.
Sony once again doing a number on the little guy.
And that's comign from a Ape Escape fan.

I can't blame anyone though because all they did was take an episode and split it in half. Episodes 1 & 2 are actually 1, 3 $ 4 are 2, etc.
