Look interesting except of course Donner bringing bumbling Clark back. I wonder if the kid will become Jason in this continuity?

I am not sure I am liking the whole idea of Superkid. We just got Supergirl and this seems similar. I hope its not permanent. Their can only be one Superman. :D

I feel opposite. The idea of Superman having a child really appeals to me, especially after how it turned out in Superman Returns. I like the idea of another kryptonian taking the mantle of SUperman when Kal-El dies, like I thought Conner would until he died.
And the comic itself looks really good! I've been anticipating it since it was announced! Richard Donner on Superman comics seems like a dream come true!

I was thinking that this would be a stupid storyline, but with Richard Donner and Geof Johns I think this will be very good, as Johns rearely doesn't hit one out of the park.
Hmmm, they've changed Superman's belt to match his look in Superman Returns. I think I'll wait for the reviews on this but Richard Donner on Superman sounds like a dream come true to me. Geoff Johns has yet to impress me, looks like he might get another chance here...
I see so they killed off the Kon-el just to introduce a younger super bo... kid.

I see so they killed off the Kon-el just to introduce a younger super bo... kid. Maybe not. They dropped some hints in 52 that Kon El is still alive. And besides theres not much they could do with him anyway because of that whole lawsuit.
No they could have EASILY renamed him, as for the 52 refferences, I doubt he's supernova, they wouldn't make it that obvious, plus there wouldn't be much of an explenation as to why he hasn't appeared OYL.

Not exactly right about the Superboy thing in 52.
That whole part was a ressurection cult trying to bring him back, that Wonder Girl was a part of because she loved him. They show in the OYL Titans issues that Wonder Girl "Wasted A Year of Her Life" on it, before then finding out that Robin is trying to clone a new Superboy. If he came back during 52, Robin would have no need to try and re-clone him.
I always hated that line from Titans regarding Wonder Girl. It compleatly ruined the storyline in 52, as it came out months before the whole Cult/Ralph blow-off issue of 52. It pretty much rendered that entire issue worthless in that one line, because you already knew that the cult didn't pan out, and Wonder Girl left it.
Thats why I'm glad I got into the TT after reading that issue of 52.
I almost wish they do pull off some half assed method of bringing Kon-el back.

Wow. I really like the idea of Richard Donner working on a Superman comic. Damn. This sounds pretty neat.

Who do think the villains in this series would be, besides Lex and General Zod?

Brainiac and Bizzaro will be appearing.

After looking at those pages with Perry smoking a cigar, I have to ask . . . is this an Elseworlds title? I mean, you know, Perry has/had lung cancer and was in remission over the years. I don't think he'd be smoking again considering what has happened to him . . . or has that been written out of continuity?

I'm surprised at the lack of response. I expected this to get a lot of replies. It seems like a pretty big thing.

I rarely read superman or action comics but I absolutley love Geoff Johns's work ( Mostly GREEN LANTERN ) so I am definetley gonna read this newest installment of superman. But I was wondering is this a continuation of current series? or is Geoff writing something that's different from ( Like how JLA: CLASSIFIED is different from BRAD MELTZER'S JLA ) the current series?
