THE DAILY SHOW? This has got to be one of the most funniest shows on Comedy Central, no wait, of all of the channels. If you catch it on a good day, you could laugh the entire episode. Lately, there's been a lot of good ones. Did anyone see the Christmas one where Lewis Black was looking in a catalog and it showed some items? If you did, wasn't the little bike funny? "Originally sold to professional circus performers" :D . Man, that was great. Or the one where Steve kept on saying that this one lady he was interviewing worshipped the devil. He made all of these paranormal noises. HA HA, this show is great. How do you guys like it?

Jon Stewart and Lewis Black are two of the funniest men on the planet.

Lewis Black is a scream. I live in the NYC metro area so I heard (live) the radio show where Lewis was arrested for riding in the Voyuer Bus with the topless teens (all over 18). To hear him before and after the ordeal.... priceless

I watch it everytime it's on the air. Heck - I got a bunch of them on tape (Mainly the ones with the great 'stories' they do - my favorite being the freeze-dried pets). This is quite possibly the funniest show on television. They crew on the show knows what they're doing and they do it perfectly. Besides the show being so great, Stewart is a comedic idol to me.

That interview "Satan Laws Are Coming to Town" is on www.thedailyshow.com

Here's a little part that I love:

Steve Carell-"Why are you in support of Satan coming to town?"
Local Lady-"I'm not in support of Satan coming to town"
SC-"So, you would say you're pro-satan?"
LL-"No"
SC-"So, you are pro Satan"
LL-"No"
SC-"But why do you want Satan in your town?"
LL-"I don't want Satan in my town"
SC-"Why do you like Satan so much?"
LL-"I don't like Satan"
SC-"In turms of supporting Satan, why are you?"
LL-(just stares)

I want to go to a live taping so much.

Who here liked the pre-Jon Stewart Daily Shows. I never watched those, but the present ones are probably better.

I wasn't even aware that the daily show ever had someone else.

Yeah, Conan O Brian used to host it, but he was crap compared to Jon.

No, it wasn't Conan, it was Craig Kilbourne. It took me a while to adjust to Jon, but I think that I like him more. I'm a big fan of the show, but I only get to see it at school. Another week and I'll be watching it again.

Yeah, I was the same way. It was like "who is this guy?" Slowly I figured it out. He's one funny SOB.

Kilbourne was OK, but that cocky act really got old. Trivia Time! Can anyone name the show that he was on before he hosted TDS? Kilbourne I mean. Aw heck, go ahead and name Jon Stewarts earlier gig also.

Craig used to be on Sports Center back in the early 80s or so, John Stewart started out as host of Short Attention Span Theater.

John Stewart also had his own show in the early 90s called, creatively, The John Stewart Show. I remember seeing it on a network late at night, but I remember it being on MTV as well. Maybe both, but it was still funny back then.

I never watched TDS before John, because I didn't have Comedy Central (my cable company was probably one of the worst out there  ) But, I've been forced to watch a few of the new Late Late Show, and I have to say I prefer John over Craig.

I still can't believe John played the straight guy in Big Daddy. Seeing him play a (relatively) serious part was a bit of a shock.

who's still missing Vance DeGeneres.... :(

Don't worry, many cable companies didn't carry Comedy Central until the John Stewart era. Heck, mine only upgraded their cable package to include such premium channels as Comedy Central and Cartoon Network only a year or two ago.

I looked up John Stewart on www.imdb.com and see he's done some voice acting for cartoons. Kids cartoons, but I thought it was interesting.
