What's your favorite arc?

I'd have to say, for me, the Enies Lobby arc was my favorite in One Piece, even though it was kind of long, and could still be going. Skypiea is a close second

The Saiyan and Freeza arcs of DBZ are always going to be my favorites. The Alabasta arc and the Enies Lobby arcs of One Piece are in second.

The Water Seven arc from One Piece, which is just now wrapping up.

It was a great arc, with an excellent story, emotional moments, development, and some awesome fighting at the end of it.

Really long, though.

Well...

Yu-gi-oh:
(Anime) Battle City- mainly because the animation was soooo sweet in that arc.

(Manga) Death T- It was when the manga art finally began to look like the anime designs and it's was Yugi's first all stakes battle against Kaiba. At lot of the events in this arc helped setup the Duelist Kingdom arc.

One Piece:
(Both) Have to go with Water 7/Eneis Lobby since it's the most recent arc and had a lot of interesting plot points, fights, and character development.

Dragonball (original):
Demon King Piccolo arc is my favorite because it marked DB's transition into Z territory while still keeping the more epic elements of the original Dragonball story.

Dragonball Z:
Anime- It's a tie between the Saiyan saga and the Cell Games arc. Both emphasized Gohan's growth and strength and both had really great final battles. Goku vs. Vegeta and Gohan vs. Cell are both excellent fights.

Manga- Freeza arc because it wasn't padded down with drawn out filter like the anime was.

Yu Yu Hakusho (anime):
Chapter Black/Sensui arc- This arc proved that YYH wasn't just a DBZ clone and actually had intelligent written and well done character development. The last dozen of episodes alone were just amazing.

Rurouni Kenshin:
(Anime) Kyoto Arc- What was really the sell was those first four episodes (eps 28-31) the animation, writing, and music just blew me away and it truly marked a distinct change in the direction of the series. What followed was a really tightly down story that was very original and epic. Kenshin's fights with Saito, Sojiro and Shishio had a very cinematic quality to them and were awesome.

(Manga) Jinchu Arc- I thought Kyoto was awesome but was made Jinchu so good is it tied up the loose ends of Kenshin's quest for redemption and let him deal with his final demons from his past. This was truly a well written arc.

Death Note:
The "L" arc- Don't know what else to call it but this was a great thing to read for the first 6 1/2 volumes of the manga. Tight writing and the fact that the main character is such a twisted creep.

Inuyasha (both):
Band of Seven- This was one of the best arcs I've ever seen Rumiko Takahashi pull of with epic battles and really good pacing. The characters seemed a lot more together during this arc and there was always a sense of danger throughout the storyline. If only she could do more arcs like this consistantly.

Okay, I think those are some of the major ones. I'll psot some more if I think of them.

WARNING: Spoilers Ahead.

The Faudo Tower arc in Gash Bell. It is simply amazing, it introduced us to a wide variety of new characters and their charcteristic are truly uniqe. The main arc itself was was great, albiet draged on in the Tia, Momon, Kanchome, Umagon, and Gash vs. Jedun and Roduex fight. (12 chapters.) The way Kiyomaro risks his own life to ensure that Gash wins the fight against Riou was spectactular, and Gash's reactions to Kiyomaro's death showed that he's not the happy little kid he usually is. And because of that, characters got more of the spotlight, especially Bari, with his fears of Gash figured out, and Gustav acknowledging Bari as his final goodbye was sweet, too. Like in the mellenium arc, there is one funny villain in which Won Rei faced has a duck between crotch ability that really makes up for the lacking comedy in this arc....Until Tia burned Won Rei's book before he could die. And the battle between Gash and Zeon.....Wonderful, buetiful art throughout all of the chapters. And now, as the arc begins to close, I can say that this was best arc yet, in any manga I read.

The anime version is crud, though.

Chapter Black of Yu Yu Hakusho is far and away my favorite arc in
any anime. If the whole series was like that, my head would have
exploded from the shear amount of win.

Since I guess we're talking mainly about shounen titles here, the "Teshigawara finally snaps" arc in GTO.

Yu-Gi-Oh:
Battle City because it had an intresting plot, the best duels and Marik Ishtar was an awesome villain, hence my username and avatar.;) I was dissapointed how all the Sagas after that had poorer animation compared to Duelist Kingdom and Battle City.

DBZ:
Cell Saga because it had a good plot, great new characters such as Trunks and Cell, and was well paced unlike the Frieza Saga.

Yu Yu Hakusho
- Dark Tournament - Good fights
-Sensui/Chapter Black Arc: Sensui's bad ass and the arc was a nice antithesis to the Dark Tournament's overly long arc.

Dragonball/DBZ
-Piccolo Daimao/23rd Budokai: The saga for a great Pre-DBZ villain. A nice transition into DBZ.
-Saiyan Arc: Goku vs Vegeta, enough said.
-Cell Arc: Cell vs Goku, Cell vs Gohan, everything about season 4 was great.

Sailor Moon
- Sailor Moon S: Darkest season of Sailor Moon. The debut of Hotaru/Sailor Saturn and the Outers. The one SM season I can watch over and over again.
- Sailor Stars: Galaxia rocked

Rurouni Kenshin
- Kyoto Arc (both): Great battles. Truly epic and outstanding.
- Jinuchu Arc (manga): Wish this could have been animated. More of Kenshin's past revealed.

Naruto
- Chuunin Exam
- Save Sasuke Arc - Enjoyed the fights against the Sound 4 (or Sound 5); Naruto vs Sasuke was neat (even with the flashbacks interrupting the pace).
- Save Gaara Arc (manga, Part II)

Inuyasha
- Shichinin'tai/Band of Seven Arc

Full Metal Alchemist (anime)
- Greed Arc

Bleach
- Soul Society Arc

I'll go into detail on some of these and add titles more later. I'm a hurry as I write this.

Cowboy Bebop - I suppose the whole series counts as the arc I'm talking about. Spike's past coming back to haunt him. Though our first taste of it is in "Ballad of Fallen Angels" I believe.

Digimon 01 - The Dark Master arc: This is the time Digimon really grew up. It shopwed that it could be more than just a fighting show.

Digimon 02 - Blackwargreymon Arc. Digimon goes Blade Runner, kind of. BWGM is unusal that he's a interesting enough character, plus the fights wer good, and that it had Steven Jay Blum.

Digimon Tamers - Devas Arc. Probably the most enjoyable part of the show. We see the characters have fun and develop before the trouble hits the fan. Plus, it's just more fun with Digimon sneaking arround and evil MiB.

Digimon Frontier - Cherubimon Arc. Before the show jumped the shark, Frointer really shined. The characters confront their own fears, Kouji and his helf-brother meets, and the backstory is just neat. Cherubimon's reasons for his bestryal was layered.

DBZ - Frezza Saga. When DBZ's fights wern't repetitivie, before Goku could had destroyed the universe in one shot, the Freeza saga worked best because Goku wasn't uber yet, and the fights wern't as obivusly repetitive.

Sailor Moon - Another vouch for S. Sailor Moon grows up. ironically the Saban dub actually augments S's seriousness. It unintentonally seems like Sailor Moon and the gang has grow more than they really seem. Also, the script qualitiy was better.

Full Metal Alchemist - Anything Pre-greed arc. Anything after that just feels too different.

All hail Kenshin's Kyoto Arc.

Yu Yu Hakusho
I actually liked all four arcs a lot, but Sensui probaby comes out on top because it was so different than the other three. It moved past the obligatory shonen tournament arc and gave some real meat to both the characters and the series.

Rurouni Kenshin
Kyoto: All praise the awesomeness that is the Kyoto arc
Jinchu (manga): Even more awesomeness. If only it had been animated...

Naruto
Chuunin Exams: Gaara vs. Rock Lee ftw
Itachi Returns: It was only like, what, 5 episodes (?) but I still liked it
Rescue Sasuke: So sue me. Character development for Choji, Neji, and Shikamaru, and to a lesser extent Kiba = Yay. Naruto vs. Sasuke literally had me in tears by the end (I liked the Sasuke flashbacks too *shrug*)

Inuyasha
The Band of Seven: The first arc in IY that I was disappointed to see end.

Death Note:
The "L" arc- Don't know what else to call it but this was a great thing to read for the first 6 1/2 volumes of the manga. Tight writing and the fact that the main character is such a twisted creep.
Quoted for truth.

Here is my list.

One Piece:
Arlong- I can this is one of the best storyline in the early volumes of the One Piece, with both Nami's flashback, and the final battle between Luffy and Arlong made it as one of One Piece best battles.

Alabasta- What can I say about Alabasta that not everyone haven't said yet. A lot of great plot twist, and have some serious bad ass moment.

Water 7/Enies Lobby: Even through I just got into One Piece in the last two years or so. I can say this my 2nd favorite story arc to Alabasta. So many cool moments, and bad ass moments.

Inuyasha:
The Band of Seven: Like many others have said about the Band of Seven, you can't never get enough the plotline, and the fights. It also brings back a certian main villian, who dissapear for awhile, and made him look more bad ass. And it also had one of the saddest moments of the series as well.

Dragon Ball
The Red Ribbion Army Saga: This is when Dragon Ball begin to take it ground to become DBZ with more fighting, and stuff. Goku Vs. Sergent Major Purple will remain as one of my most favorite fights of the entire series, and it came from this Arc as well Goku Vs. Tao.

Dragon Ball Z
Androids/Cell Saga - The entire 4th Season of Dragon Ball Z was great. From the introduction of Trunks, to first appearnce of Cell, to the entire fight between Cell and Gohan. Each episode of the season keep you on your seat, and won't know will happened next until you watch the next episode.

Yu Yu Hakusho-
Sensui Arc- As a fan of the entire series, I can say between this arc have a lot great moments. And Sensui was a very great and intersing villian through his run as the main villian.

Rurouni Kenshin-
Kyoto Arc: There are too many things to say about this arc, and a lot of great fight Sanouske Vs. Anji, Saito Vs. Kenshin, and some funny then hell fights of Kamatari Vs. Karou, and Misao.
