This afternoon's "Bugs and Daffy" and "Tom and Jerry" are being pre-empted by a Courage the Cowardly Dog marathon. While we haven't had as much luck with rarities on the evening repeats when this happens, (probably because they are before midnight) I'd still stick a tape in to make sure. They will at least be new episodes, anyway. Also note that tomorrow morning's "Bugs and Daffy" hour will most likely be new as well, since they won't have enough material from today to do a full rerun.

I don't know but it's worth a shot. I'll set it for Bugs & Daffy, but not Tom & Jerry. Why not T&J you ask? Because I have all of them, uncut in their full glory, and all of the CinemaScopes (except for a few) are letterboxed.

Doesn't it seem like that most of Cartoon Network's programing is mostly filled with "Craptoons Craptoons", all day, all night!

I have all the Mammy and Cinemascope cartoons also, but I plan to set my VCR just in case. Lately, I've been adding the 'dubbed Mammy' cartoons to my collection mainly as curios. It will be interesting in about 40-50 years when all this PC bullsh** comes to a close and we can show our descendents just how silly this time was when cartoons, which were fine when they were created, were banned or 'cleaned up' for broadcast... ;)

I'm setting my timer in case. And maybe PART TIME PAL or A MOUSE IN THE HOUSE will show up on T&J...or they'll show SATURDAY EVENING PUSS for the 100th time...

Yes, I did get annoyed. I had the day off today, and they had to show nothing but "Courage...".
I was going to post a reminder about this, a little too late, I might add.
And Matthew Hunter, the showings aren't only before midnight. I believe they also have 3am and 3:30am.

Wait, Matthew, which B&D and T&J are you telling us to set our timers for? The 11 and 11:30 PM installment, or the 3 and 3:30 AM installment?

Yeah, both 11:00pm and 11:30pm and 3:00am and 3:30am shows should be new.

I say set your VCRs for the 3-4 showings but dont get your hopes up about the pre-midnight airings.

I don't usually set the VCR for the 11 and 11:30 airings, but I will this time because they are not reruns. As for rare cartoons, there can't be any before midnight (CN standards:rolleyes: ) . The chances of anything good at all are... low.

I could watch Saturday Evening Puss 100 times in a row and still not get bored of it! Maybe like it even more!
Anyway we also get a case of repeating the same T&J episode most of the time, but not the ones you have.
BTW last Monday CNUK's logo on the screen went transparent. It had been opaque for the last 9 years...
