Toon Zone caught up with writer Dan Slott (Superman Adventures, Justice League Adventures) to talk about some of his past, present, and future work. Not only that, but Dan was also able to provide nifty extras, like original sketches and character designs!

TOON ZONE: Would you ever consider working on Batman: Gotham Adventures? And if so - what ideas and plots would you explore?

SLOTT: Funny you should mention that... I'm scripting a B:GA inventory issue AS WE SPEAK! It's a funky little tale where The Creeper is trying to take down the Ventriloquist... but Batman is getting in the way! "Hunh?" you say, "But that doesn't make any sense." Well, you'll just have to wait and see. (And you probably won't see it for a while since the regular team has JUST done a Ventriloquist story).

TOON ZONE: Do you plan on doing more issues of JL outside of the three that are already done?

SLOTT: I would LOVE to do more Justice League Adventures! So let's just see what the fates (or the Magnanimous Mr. Raspler) has in store... (A few tons of nicely worded fan-mail to the Justice League Adventures office couldn't hurt in that department. Hint hint!).

TOON ZONE: Can you give us a plot rundown of each of the JL issues you've done?

SLOTT: You got it! Issue #4 is called "World War of the Sexes". In it, the Amazons of Themyscira are out to overthrow Man's World! When the Justice League goes up against an army of Wonder Women... which side will Diana take?

Issue #6 is called "Wolf's Clothing". I don't want to give away surprises... so let me just say that this epic involves the twisted machinations of OVER 40 DC SUPER-VILLAINS! Whoa!

And my most current issue is called "Local Hero." It is my favorite superhero story to date! An all new hero, a small town local, gets to fill in for a missing Justice League member. It's a dream come true-- or is it?!!

All three stories are drawn by the fantastic, stupendous, and multi-talented Min S. Ku! Min ROCKS! I can't wait to see the fan reaction to Min's double page splash in "Local Hero"! In the script, over the description of the page, I wrote Min a note. It read: "This will either kill you... or win you an Eisner!" And gosh- darn-it if he didn't pull it off! It's a big "cast-of-thousands" shot that will just blow you all away! I like to call Min "The George Perez of the Adventures Universe." A title, you'll see, he so richly deserves.

TOON ZONE: Some people consider issue #57 of SUPERMAN ADVENTURES (written by you), the best issue of the series. Would you agree with that? Did you enjoy working on SUPERMAN ADVENTURES?

SLOTT: That was a fun issue to work on! I used every bit of Superman-mojo in my brain for that puppy! Glad you liked it! I was so greatful that Superman Adventures Editor, Joey Cavalieri, let me write it up-- and that he got Cameron Stewart to draw it! There's a page in that job that was just so SWEET (PAGE 21) that I had to call Cameron up and beg him for it. The minute I get that modern-day masterpiece in my hands, I'm framing it and hanging it over the mantle. If I could, I'd wear it on a sandwich board every day of my life... and then be burried with it!

Along with the snazzy interview, Dan was able to provide us with some very cool Justice League Adventures treats, which you can check out below!

Dan also sent Toon Zone a couple other nifty gifts! He sent a JL Villians Model Sheet as well as an alternate cover to Justice League Adventures #4! Thanks for the interview Dan!
