Whoops I posted this in the wrong forum. :ack:

Another great episode on their part.

Also an intresting tid bit about this episode. When the director came to speak at my school back in the winter, they showed me the scene with Harvey jumping over the platforms towards Mentok's cell in storyboard, pencil, and colored form. He said it was for an episode they already had done for the last batch of new episodes, but I guess they put this aside for this line up.

Good stuff as usual. Still freaking out over Peterpottomus having no fingers.

Love the Rock, Paper, Mentok bit as well as Avenger speaking.

Didn't that Judge die?

Jokes about the Patriot Act? God I love this show. It started off ok, but it got really good when they arrested Mentok. Gonna miss it. At least ATHF is still going.

RATING: A

Meh, Birdman has tighter continuity than shows like ATHF but it's still weaker than stuff like Venture Brothers.

Birdman is back in form, but I'm really disheartened by the card that says the creators are done with the show. That would make Aqua Teen Hunger Force the only original show left from 2001.

I'm disappointed too but we heard rumors about this a few months ago and it has been 6 years.

Avenger owned this episode. "***** the nazis." "That cup." "....Oy."

I also loved the X-Men parody, Mentok playing rock paper Mentok with Birdman ("I win, get down here."), Phil cleaning out his already spacious office, and Peanut making up the opening arguments as he went along.

The newer crop of Comedy shows hasn't shown any improvement over the first-generation other than being more cost-efficient. I really don't trust the Birdman creators with a new show.

Well, let's look at where the old school of creators are now.

Jim Fortier and Dave Willis - Squidbillies (An ok show, I enjoy it, but a huge step down from Space Ghost and ATHF.)

Matt Maiellaro - 12 Oz. Mouse (One of my favorites on AS but I realize that's an extremely unpopular opinion.)

Brendon Small - Dethklok Metalocalypse (One of my favorites on AS.)

Loren Bouchard - Lucy, Daughter Of The Devil (The pilot was good.)

Adam Reed and Matt Thompson - Frisky Dingo (Unaired yet.)

Michael Ouweleen and Erik Richter - That moon bombing show (Unaired yet.)

Overall, the old is better than the new though.

The shows ending? Lame. Atleast it had a nice run.

This was a bit slower than some of the more manic episodes from the third season. Still quite funny though.......and we finnally get to see what Mind-taking invovles. (I personally have never seen a Shazam cartoon so I really can't comment on the character itself ), but it seems like that was alot of plot setup for a 2 second conclusion.

Sucks the show is ending-it took forever for it to ever get off the ground and build any kind of momentum. (I think ATHF had COMPLETED season 3 months before season 2 aired, and both pilots premiered at the same time). If they are bored with the show, might as well end it now before it starts to get stale (ala recent ATHF episodes).

I wouldn't say all second generation originals have been failures so far. Besides, outside of sealab and original space ghosts (back in 94) no original was that popular from the start anyway (even on this board most people hated the original episodes of ATHF). I think you can really only classify Squidbillies, 12 oz, Metapocolypse, and Lucy as second generation shows, and Squid/12oz are pretty much side projects since ATHF is still in production.

"Rock, paper, Mentok!"; "I'm a judge... we don't believe anything!"; Harvey and Peanut having to be teleported into the courtroom after missing the start of the trial; Avenger getting Mentok out of trouble... and paying for it.

"Mufti Trouble": 7.5/10.
