Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire told the Associated Press that the time is right for the web-slinger's big-screen debut.

"I think people will be ready this summer to watch a good guy in New York who has fun and goes around and beats up the bad guys. Do superheroes still fit in? Yeah, I think so," he said.

Maguire also tells fans to look for a multi-dimensional villain in the film. "The Green Goblin is still considered the bad guy, the evil guy, but there are redeeming qualities about him and things that you want to care about him for,"' Maguire said.

According to the write-up the World Trade Center towers will appear in the city skyline, in spite of post 9/11 actions that resulted in the removal of the building from publicity materials.

Is it safe to assume that the bank robbery scene from the original trailer will be included also?

Man, that's the coolest scene!

I thought that the bank robbery scene was created just for the trailer. What they need to do is show the original trailer UNCUT before the movie in all theaters everywhere.

Producer Laura Zaskin says the pulling of the original teaser "was not integral to the storytelling, it was not that we felt it was inappropriate to have the World Trade Center in the film. The thing was, for us, to have a scene with a helicopter, an aircraft and the World Trade Center was hard for us to look at. That was the extent of the concrete impact [of the attacks] on the project".

So...um...maybe it will still be in there?

I'm a bit confused by this news. I also thought that the original Bank Robbery trailer was made just as a teaser and wasnt part of the movie. So is what they're saying the WTC will be seen in the background, and only in the background?
