Another all-Porky show, but with some surprises:

The Blow Out
Porky's Phoney Express :)
Porky's Pet
Fish Tales
Porky's Picnic
Porky's Romance :D

Yes, they broadcast "Porky's Romance"!!!!

Apparently, for all those people who posted "There's never anything on LNB&W anymore" when it was announced CN was taking the show off, they decided to put something on last night:

The Blow Out (1936-Avery)
Porky's Phoney Express (1938-Howard/Dalton)
Porky's Pet (1936-King)
Fish Tales (1936-King)
Porky's Picnic (1938-Clampett)
Porky's Romance (1937-Tashlin)

And, yes, the last cartoon was complete with the hanging and the dog-kicking scenes.

Makes me wish there was more than one episode left........perhaps an all-Bosko edition next week (it'll have to be PD Bosko, I know)? :D

Woops, sorry, I thought the change was effective the first weekend in Feb. Now I know LNB&W will be on through Feb. 23. I feel somewhat better.

"Small World" is an annoying "Sesame Street"/"Pinwheel" (anyone else remember that show?) clone that CN shows early in the morning on weekends so that it can abide by that stupid rule of the FCC that every children's channel must show X amount of educational programming each week.

Little does CN know that, if they picked up "Pinky and the Brain" that it would probably count towards that FCC requirement, what with all the history and vocabluary lessons Brain gives Pinky...

BRAIN STEM! BRAIN STEM!

I already had "Porky's Romance" on tape from the one-time airing awhile back on a late-night Bugs & Daffy. I hope everybody here caught it who missed it the first time around (hey, CN, how about replaying "Milk and Money" next week, pleeease??).

The BIG surprise of the evening was "Porky's Phoney Express"!!!!!! It's always great to add to the ol' cartoon collection! :D :)

I didn't have tape rolling, since we had given up hope on ever seeing any of these again. Assuming it wasn't marred by a CN logo, anyone have the main title card from either of the two rarities (and for that matter from "The Egg-Cited Rooster" the other day)?

You WILL get credit on my site. Thanx...

Unfortunately, the titles seem to be marred by the CN logo.
I have a good quality SP tape, if anyone wants to get a copy. I'd be glad to trade!!

(The CN logo has been digitally erased thanks to Microsoft Image Composer's cutout and paint features.)

Enjoy!

Even though I've recently been able to have my VCR running during the right times and now have rare shorts such as Porky's Romance, Injun Trouble and the B&W Puss N' Booty, there have been several times where my VCR wasn't running and missed super rare titles such as Porky's Midnight Matinee and Westward Whoa! Just be assured you're not alone in your frustration. :)

Was it edited when it aired on a late night Bugs & Daffy so long ago?

Nope.

It was Kids' WB that used to edit the dog-kicking ending when they showed it on THAT'S WARNER BROS.!/BUGS 'N' DAFFY.
