We got a new TV and a new VCR yesterday. The screen is 27 inches and the vcr is a 4-head Toshiba brand, and it rewinds and fast forwards incredibly fast. It tapes well, too.
Now a question. When at the electronics place we got a set of "monster" RCA cables, that are supposed to replace your rhf/vhf black cables for vcr connection. How do you connect a vcp and a vcr together with these, while still viewing both on a tv, and being able to record from vcp to vcr via these cables?

How do you connect a vcp and a vcr together with these, while still viewing both on a tv, and being able to record from vcp to vcr via these cables?
well there are 2 differnt setups
1. a/v you can match the color out put and in puts ie your 4 head is your main vcr then your conncetion would be in the back and on the first row of a/v inputs (video left channel right channel)
you plug then a/v into them then on your vcp (assuming it's a 4 head) you will then make the other connection to the output (video left channel right channel) (note you will have to use the line channel or a/v channel to view whats on the vcp)
2. with cables
say you have cable commin from the floor then you will hook the cable from the floor to the back of your vcr (vhf in) then with the other cable (spare) you would then plug that into the vhf out and use the other end of the cable to the vhf in on the vcp then if you have another spare then you plug the cable from the vcp's vhf out to the back of your tv
and then you wount have set your main vcr to the a/v line channel
let me know if this helps you

I got it to work, it's better than the old vcr I'd been using. Still not a perfect copy, nothing I ever copy is as good as some of the stuff I've gotten in trades. Everyone else must use copiers...my grandmother has one and I'm going to try and buy it from her. I asked at Best Buy, they don't carry them.
