Right, I tried to upgrade my Mp3 player (a Zen Xtra) firmwere to the "Plays for sure" version so I could use Zencast to orgonise my podcasts.
Then everything went to hell, my pc crashed mid-instalation and my pc now reconised my player as a, and I quote, "USB 2.0" device.
Some suraging later, I found the fix to fix that problem and now I'm stuck at my curent spot, the player is reconised however it's still stuck on it's "Rescue Menu" and none of the firmwere instalations I have for it seem to reconise it, infact, only hte ZenCast softewere even reconises it's existance byond a MTP music player.
This is starting to get anoying so any help would be appreciated.

Have you browsed Creative's forums to see if someone else had the same problem and knows how to fix it? I've been perusing their forums off and on for a short while know to see if any news as to when the Zen Vplus will be released, and I always spot threads on issues like this regarding a wide variety of players.
I'd check there first. Worst comes to worst, call Creative's support line and see what they have to say.

Done and done so, did the best thing and rattled an e-mail to them.
Failing that, I'll probably go a PMP hunting.

This happened to me last year. What you need to do is remove all of the USB drivers from your computer, then restart it. After the restart, try to reload the firmware. It should work that time.

All the drivers. Go into the USB icon in the taskbar and remove everything.

All the drivers. Go into the USB icon in the taskbar and remove everything. and this was from attempting to install the Plays for sure firmwere before I go anywhere with this?
Cause if that happens to NOT work (which, hell it's a computer, it can happen) and I can't happen to FIND the USB drivers...that's me up dariaeah creek sans paddle.
