April 23rd will see the releas Beyond: Return of the Joker - The Original Cut[/b]. Toon Zone was able to catch up with Bruce Timm and ask him about the "original" audio commentary that will be featured on the new DVD.
" The ROTJ Uncut DVD will...contain the original commentary. Since the cut-down version was quite different from the original uncut version, it made sense to completely re-do the commentary, rather than try to cut and paste/re-record bridging snippets etc...The toughest thing in re-doing the commentary was trying to remember the good stuff we said the first time,then say it again but make it sound fresh and spontaneous the second time around.. Not to mention resisting the urge to occasionally blurt out "oh man, you should have seen the uncut version of this scene, it was way cooler"!"
