Recently, in the back of an old tape from 1980, I have FOUND...."The Daffy-Speedy Show." Two versions of the introduction and two cartoons were recorded before the tape ran out.
I wondered about this show when I heard of it; there weren't that many Daffy-Speedy cartoons made. Not nearly enough to fill the required 13 episodes a Saturday Morning TV series usually has. I pondered if they had actually created new cartoons for this half-hour, and I turned out to be right.
You old-timers know more than me. How rare is this show? Would anyone be interested in seeing the intro on a video file? (note: don't expect it tomorrow)

Sorry, I already have my own 1980 tape with that show. This time in its entirety, coming between Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends and CBS' The Tom & Jerry Comedy Hour.
I don't know the episode titles, but I can describe the episodes: 1) Daffy and Speedy on a deserted island, with Daffy searching for a way to open a tin can, 2) Foghorn Leghorn flirting with Prissy, but having Henery Chickenhawk in the way, 3) Daffy being mistaken for the goose with the golden eggs, 4) Speedy Gonzales trying to get a message through despite the actions of Sylvester.
A rare show indeed, seemingly with a Bugs Bunny embargo (guess because CBS had The Bugs Bunny and Road Runner Show).
It's cool to have tapes like that, carrying original series openings, commercials, etc. Care to describe to me the rest of the contents on your tape? Any promos to movies or mini-series?

I can't describe the show, but I know a few cartoon titles there.
1) Moby Duck
3) Golden Yeggs
4) Message to Gracias
As for me, being a huge Speedy fan, I would like to see the opening titles of that show.

Did they only play Daffy and Speedy episodes? I mean back 10+ years they played the Bugs and Tweety show on ABC but how many episodes have only Bugs and Tweety in them?

I'm guessing the tape Martianinvader has is an episode of the circa-1980 series "The Daffy Duck Show", which aired on NBC for a few seasons. Since most of the better Looney Tunes cartoons (and likely a lot of the better Daffy Duck cartoons) were either taken by CBS ("The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show") or by syndication to local stations (the older cartoons), "The Daffy Duck Show" opted to go with mostly the 60's Daffy-Speedy shorts. (I recall watching this show sporadically as a kid...).
Sometime after "The Daffy Duck Show"'s cancellation, CBS came up with "The Sylvester and Tweety, Daffy and Speedy Show" on CBS, a half-hour of cartoons featuring those four characters that aired after the usual airing of "The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show"; this short-lived show was folded into the BB/RR Show after being axed.

The show Martianinvader describes also uses nothing but theatrical shorts, no new cartoons were created specifically for this show.
