Anyone catch this last night? (and you can't say you were busy browsing ToonZone, cause I know betterer)

I thought it was very cool! Not as good as B5....but it has hope...assuming it gets good ratings, SciFi might support a new series. Heres hoping.

I, OTOH, thought it was truly awful. The acting was almost uniformly poor, the exceptions being Katsulas and the fellow playing the Minbari first officer.

The dialog was bad even by JMS's standards. JMS's writing strength has always been plot, not dialog. And how many times did we need to hear "We live for The One. We die for The One?" We get it, already!

I almost turned the channel when they first showed the virtual-reality weapons station. I'm sure there are 10-year-old boys who think it's cool, but it is the silliest idea for weapons control I've ever seen.

The Hand: Shadow clones who are supposed to be even badder than the Shadows. Sigh.

Cliches: This movie was loaded with them. We have the brash, young, rule-breaking captain, who, instead of getting booted, gets promoted. Sigh. Ghost ship. Sigh. (And if the Lilandra was in such poor shape, why would they use it? And are we supposed to think that only its crew knows how un-flightworthy it is? The Minbari aren't hard-up for ships, you know. This is as bad as "Star Trek: V," where the only ship "in range" of the problem is the malfunctioning Enterprise.)

To sum up: Hated it.

Well, I for one Loved it! True, it wasn't perfect, or anywhere as good as B5, but it was still fun. I thought that the cast was great and it was nice to see G'Kar again. He was as good as always. I hope Sci-Fi makes a series out of this, we need a good Sci Fi show on Tv right now. (Speaking of which, does anyone know when Farscape starts back?)

Well, after rewatching the Gathering again...LotR wasn't as good.
The captain didn't impress me...he's no Marcus..so =p

1st officer was cool, even though he's the third telepathic 1st officer B5 has seen....

the VR Targeting system...I'm of mixed opinions here...
I like it for when you need precision. I dislike it when she goes into epeleptic seizure, launching with both hands, her feet..etc.

Drazi Dagwood...if you've seen season 2 of Seaquest, you know what I mean.

Am I the only one who had Voyager flashbacks with the angry Narn Engineer? I hope they make her proud of her people so i can tell the diffrence =D

G'Kar kicked royal butt. His character has gotten so much better through the years. Can you belive he was once the bad guy?
