Anyone Remember Princess Gwenevere and the Jewel Riders?

I was wondering if anyone remembered this show.

It's been bouncing around in my head for the longest time now, and it was probably what got me interested in My Little Pony Tales... What? I was like 8 years old and a little girl! :) [tiny voice]PGatJR is circa 1995.

Lordie, do I remember that cheesey theme song and ending theme. I don't really remember the show itself though. Just the Hell I went through to watch it. It came on at an ungodly hour, and I almost always missed it. But *sigh* I still think about it.

Probably the first animation I ever truly loved outside of Maya the Bee.

It was so cute.

I just found a couple of eps and the OP on youtube and the entry on wiki. I seem to remember the animation being way, way better. On par with My Little Pony Tales (see, dignity? Far from here. :sweat:) at least. I don't know why though. Wiki says it circa 1993, but a fan site says its circa '95.

This was a show I always wanted to see, but nowhere in my area carried it. Always looked pretty neat.

I was happy to hear that it was gonna be released on DVD so I could finally see it, but it's being released by Digiviews - the company best known for keeping the $1 DVD bins stocked at Wal-Mart. So even if it is coming out on DVD, it'll probably be two episodes released per disc with no regard to continuity. Oh, and the company's been saying they're due out since last year, which also isn't promising.

I heard that too. Wiki said that the DVDs would be getting released sometime in the summer of '06. But I guess the plans fell through.

I suppose I should now if anyone's seen Sky Dancers, because that show pretty much took PGatJR's place, after the latter left a big hole in my girly heart when it went off air, never to return. :)
