Premieres Saturday's at 10 AM EDT

It's time to duel in a whole new way as the world of Yu-Gi-Oh! gets changed in a way no one could have predicted. Capsule Monsters has been sweeping the nation as a phenomenom, but Yugi and company have preferred to stick it out with their decks. Now they are about to learn there's more to this world than they could have ever predicted: it's real, and they've become part of it. The gang must trade in their duel disks for Capsule shooters, but will they be able to learn enough to stay safe and find a way home?

September 9- Episode 1- Getting Played
September 16- Episode 2- Divide and Conquer
September 23- Episode 3- Reunited at Last
September 30- Episode 4- Fortress of Fear

Seeing as that these episodes are mostly available on DVD, and seeing as that these have aired in some other nations, then please respect those around you and keep the spoilers within the spoiler box. Also, these episodes are subject to change, as 4K!ds TV looks like they'll go back and forth between Capsule Monsters and Dawn of the Duel, but we'll wait and see what happens.

OK. I may just have a favorite show here. I never thought the series would be this good. It reminds me so much of Pokemon for an older age group. I am speechless. I can not wait for the next episode. Man...

What the heck is Fox News is on instead of CM?

What the heck? Why is there a space station thing on instead of 4Kids TV?

...Because today is the space shuttle launch.

Okay, but why is Capsule Monsters NOT on? I don't care about that, Iwant CM.

EDIT: Oh great, it switched from Fox News to Fast Forward to Capsule Monsters in the middle fo the episode. So when is this ep getting replayed as I obviously can't watch it.

I'm sure it'll be replayed eventually... It's on DVD currently, so you can buy the DVD if you want to see the first episode.

It's also on YouTube... Already...

This episode is defintley interesting. It has a slow start, but it at least is going with a story similiar to the other Yu-Gi-Oh! saga's. I was hoping for a new beginning instead of clips from every other intro, but I guess it suits the series.

The best part of the episode was Yugi discovering Celtic Guardian.

I would like to thank Duke for the talkback image as well. Oftentimes we forget the work that the moderators put into these forums to keep them running smoothly, so I just want everyone to recognize the great work Duke has done and continues to do.

Youtube is unwatchable. They break everything up into like 5-8 min segments, and the quality is still like watching a 9th generation VHS tape.

Anyway, did ANYONE get to see this? I think we deserve a replay next Sat before ep 2 is shown.

It aired without commercial interruption in its entirety where I live. For that matter, the entire block aired without interruption. Your local affiliate is the one who decided to break into the block, so you can yell at them and see if you can get them to show it again, but 4K!ds technically has no obligation to show it again next week.

Yeah to my knowledge, I didn't get that problem either. Or at least as much of it as I thought. Still didn't see the ending because I had to help my dad shop for a chair today.

I'm guessing this takes place somewhere after Battle City/Waking the Dragons and before Waking the Dragons/Dawn of the Duel because there's NO WAY it takes place right from where the show ended if the pharoah's still around. (And I thought they'd make a feasible reason as to why he's back but nope, it's like he never left)

I did, because the episode aired at 10, and the block wasn't interrupted until 11 here.

YUGIOH CM takes place be4 the dawn of the duel. i hope nobody ask this question again. CM is like a lost season to Yugioh. just like Ninja tribunal is the lost season of TMNT.

Well if they aren't replaying it next week, I guess I'll just pass on this series until it comes out in Japan.

The first official weekend of the Fall 2006 season, and would you believe this was the best 'new' show to premiere? (And I use the word 'new' loosely.)

Though nothing groundbreaking, 'Capsule Monsters,' at least for most of the first episode, puts a focus on the comedy and draws away from dueling. Not that we can complete drop dueling, as that in essence is the show. But I found myself really laughing at points, even though this is a 'out of continuity' spin-off that 4Kids made to milk more money out of the franchise.

Funny moments: Joey using his 'Lucky Left Arm' to win the trip in the lottery (and the attendant pointing out he was using his right), Tristan's "Do you have to walk like a freak?" to Joey, Joey rambling about figuring out something's not right even though he doesn't have a college degree (and probably never will :p).

Let's see how the dueling aspect and Dr. Brisbane, who could right now either be friend or foe, play out... but out of the series debuting so far, best first episode of the fall season.

7 out of 10 for "Getting Played."

He meant they won't be replaying it. OH well, no big loss. It looks lame and I'd rather watch in in Japanese where I don't have to put up with piss poor voice acting and music. You know something is wrong when they star tdoing the "kick the can" song (I've seen ep 3).

Later today on Capsule Monsters, the entire gang has been seperated from each other, and new monsters are about to attack and try to turn then into dinner. Can the gang find allies in this world, or will they be destroyed?

Anyone who didn't realize that was Grandpa at the end must not know Yu-Gi-Oh! that well. I thought it was great introducing all the new capsule monsters, and I give it an A-.

Eh, I'm gonna go the opposite way from last week this time... the comedy wasn't as funny. It feels more like the 4Kids kind of funny. Not a good thing.

It started off fine, with Joey falling off from one nest and landing in a second, then a third before finally falling for real. Then, it kinda got eye-rolling and boring. I guess the whole part about 'the guys feel their monsters' pain' is interesting, even if the series had already used that idea. Otherwise, it seemed like business as usual... which won't do much good to keep my attention.

6 out of 10 for "Divide and Conquer."

Later today on Capsule Monsters, the entire gang somehow finds a way to get reunited, and Yugi reveals they are in the world of Capsule Monsters, but one question is on everyone's minds: is there a way out? Perhaps the returning Grandpa Moto will know that answer, but are their new monsters and fields waiting to destroy the gang?

The only thing I'm not liking about Capsule Monsters is the number of monsters used. There are so many monsters that the mind doesn't fully absorb what's going on.

Well, Joey and Tristan's 'victory dance' was silly and unexpected...

The show seems to have fallen back to regular Yu-Gi-Oh levels for me at this point. I'll still watch 'cause it's Yu-Gi-Oh, but it's towards the bottom of my must-see list now.

"Reunited at Last": 6.5/10

That is the only thing that makes it good.

Oh yeah, I decided to rent the DVDs from Blockbuster and was presently surprised to see the series get quite enjoyable. It started out lame, but once things got moving and it got into what makes Yugioh great (Egyptian themes, ancient mysteries and heroes), it became a great series. Still, I want to see it in Japanese, so I hope they dub it soon and hopefully add more scenes to it, as some parts felt like something was missing.

Well, the DVDs you rented were the movie versions, (since to the best of my knowledge, that's the only way they've been released) and the movies have some scenes cut out that are in the episodes. However the scenes that were cut are on the DVDs I bleieve.

Oops, I forgot to watch those last night. Well, only three scenes felt important, most from what would be the final 2 episodes. However, I will hold off on bying them or watching them again until it is released in Japan.

The last episode of the first month of Capsule Monsters airs later today, and the gang must battle through a graveyard to get to the Fortress of Fear. If the name didn't say enough about it, exactly what is on the inside waiting, and can the gang even manage to arrive? Find out when the new Capsule Monosters continues, only on 4K!ds TV.

As soon as I saw that capsule, I suspected it would be the Dark Magician, and it was good to see that they can summon more than one monster with the same capsule. Of course there was a little loop hole in this episode: Grandpa was able to summon Summoned Skull basck-to-back despite them saying a coule of weeks ago that he takes longer to recharge.

Yeah, which is strange considering Granpa is the only one who gets a silver capsule during the entire series.

One of the best moments in Capmon is: When Black Magician evolves into Magician of Black Chaos

An obvious and weak plot device since they couldn't come up ith a less powerful monster to fit with Grandpa -.- weak.

Seriously who cares about all these old vanilla monsters... and Thunder Kid has got to be one of the worst design ever and they decide to pair THAT up with Tristan...why not something a bit more substantial.

My only real complain about Capmon is basically the lack of creativity in the whole thing... they should have come up with new monsters ('cept maybe kept the more iconic ones like Dark Magician, Kuriboh and Flame Swordsman). On a strictly buisness point of view more monsters means more new toys so that would have worked.

Otherwise it'S perfectly watchable.

Best thing about Episode 4 - Téa got a worthwhile monster. Dark Witch didn't do much, but the fact that she got a fairly strong partner trumps seeing Joey and Yugi getting their 'signature monsters' back (Flame Swordsman and Dark Magician, respectively).

Things that don't make sense pile - The aforementioned ability of Grandpa to somehow activate Summoned Skull twice in one episode after being unable to bring it out at all since the start of Ep 3 AND the fact that somehow Yugi/Pharoah 'air-jumps' or bounces off Kuriboh to reach the Dark Magician's capsule? Yeah... 4Kids, you're taking too many liberties here.

"Fortress of Fear": 6/10.
