John K. eats Sara Lee.

Yesterday I was watching the new I've Got a Secret on GSN, when during the commercial break there was an ad for Sara Lee foods...and they were playing the Happy Happy Joy Joy song from Ren and Stimpy in the background.

I can't believe the people there remember that song! But I have no idea if John K. willingly gave them the right to use it or if it's out there in public domain to use. If it is public then I am not surprised that it hasn't been used more often, it would sound out of place in most occasions. (like in this ad)

Now let's go suck eggs!

Strangely, this article in Adweek (http://www.adweek.com/aw/creative/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003084968) calls it a "folk tune"; Wikipedia lists (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ren_and_stimpy#Music_written_for_the_show) it as an original composition for Ren and Stimpy.
