from what I know, there was supposed to be a calendar man story, a joker/bane dvt, {nothing would be cooler} and in bb, they were going to have dick grayson in the foruth season, and a catwoman dvt.

P.S. If i'm sading any of you with what we could have had, I'm sorry.

I know that in the third season, Jim Gordon would have found out about Barbara's nightlife. And it would also show Batgirl on her Batcycle. In the designs at Batman-Superman.com you can see the designs at "Gadgets".
Also, i heard they wanted to delve deeper in the relation of Barbara and Dick.

"over the edge" hints that he already knows. I don't know the hint, I just heard about It.

I remember reading that Paul Dini wanted to do a "Question" episode of Batman, but they just never got around to it.

Also, "New Kids In Town" was supposed to be spun-off into a Legion series for Kids WB. But they chose Batman Beyond instead. Wouldn't that have been interesting, a Legion series?

More fun rumors:

The Superman episode The Main Man was supposed to build populairty for the dcharacter so a DTV would be done. And WB planned on doing a New Gods DTV as well. That all fell through.

Also, in the BB 4th season, not just Dick Grayson was supposed to reappear, but his son or daughter was as well.

Back when BTAS was on FOX, there was:

A planned two-parter with Nocturna, a character from the 1980's who would be reinvented as a vampire. She would vampirize Bruce and the bloodlust would drive him to go out and hunt people as a vampire. FOX did not want vampires so the show never was made...but there is a cool sketch of Nocturna's proposed design that exists. I'll have to scan it and post it.

A team-up between Catwoman and Black Canary. FOX rejected it because it didn't have Robin. Sigh...

The Zatanna episode was supposed to have the Gentlemen's Ghost as the villain, but he was replaced (FOX had a problem with ghosts for some reason).

Several Riddler episodes, unfinished because they were corny or too complicated.

There were a couple more listed in the Batman Series Bible, but they featured nobody villains (and I can't find the damn thing!).

Later, during the WB's Superman run, they planned to end A Fish Story with Luthor's bomb going off and receeding the coastlines several miles, but it was deemed too expensive to animate.

I know Legacy Part 2, which served as the STAS finale, was originally envisioned as sort of a cliffhanger. Does anybody know what was planned for the next season that we never got?

Wasn't there also talk of a Robin solo show? And a Catwoman solo show? And you've got to wonder where else they could've gone with the TNBA. Sucks that it got cut as it did...

i would assume that if tnba hadnt been canceled, they would've talked more about the relationship between dick and bruce

Just a note, this episode was later morphed into the current episode Batgirl Returns...and they stuck Robin in it...

As for the Superman's 4th season, it would consist of three themes:

1. Superman trying to regain the trust of the world
2. Superman teamin gup with ALOT of DC Heroes
3. The formation of the Justice League in the 4th season finale.

That would then have led to a Justice League series on Kids'WB, and thankfully that never happened. When Kids'WB was approached (a longtime after S:TAS was canned) to do a JL series, KIWB wanted it done like this:

Batman leading a group of teenage heroes in training.

All I can say is: Thank Gawd for Cartoon Network.

Oh, and don't forget that during B:TAS time, they wanted to make a Creeper episode as a two-parter, to better reflect his comic origins. (Not that I know what his comic origins are, mind you.) For TNBA, they returned to the Creeper, and kept re-drawing him to not make him look like the Joker... then someone figured, "hey, what if it's okay that he looks like the Joker?" So that's how that episode concept was born.

For a while there there was the possibilities for a Robin show, a Catwoman show, a Lobo show, and a Legion show. Sadly, all of them crashed and burned.

I'm just waiting for the first Justice League spin-off proposal. You know that there will be one...

I heard that future episodes would feature more Baby doll and Farmer brown.

If you're referring to upcoming JL episodes then...you're wrong. The crew behind JL have no intention to revisit those characters ever again. Thankfully, too.

From what I was told, Farmer Brown was a one hit wonder character, but Baby Doll was going to return at least one more time. She was, apparently, very popular with the creative crew. There's probably alot that was set for TNBA, but was never realized when WB didn't renew.

Trent Lane

Yeah, there a lot of stuff I would have liked to see in TNBA- a Riddler episode, a "real" Bane episode, a Nightwing/Batgirl episode, the list goes on...

I really liked Baby Doll on BTAS, but the redesign and new voice didn't do anything for me. I thought that the whole gimmick depended on her being different from everybody else on the show--and nothing made her more different than being animated like a Tiny Toons character. The voice work in that original episode was excellent as well--I could really feel Dahl's anguish.

When they redesigned her for TNBA, however, she lost her uniqueness and the character became flat. Her team up with Killer Croc was, arguably, the worst episode of that leg of the series.

...But not the worst episode. I think the Farmer Brown one still holds that title... :p

Yeah, I think we can retire the "worst TNBA ever" title with that one. :D

Which makes the really interesting question, What's the second-worst episode? :p

:( ... You guys are making me mourn TNBA all over again... I even loved the "Worst" episodes. Granted Farmer Brown was LAME beyond words but I thought it was just plain fun to see Batman fighting giant chickens (which looked more like something that came out of Karkull's portal than actual chickens.) And I rather liked Baby Dolls team up with Croc. Granted the original design/voice for her was better but I dont think that made the redesign bad. Personally I LOVED Crocs new look and I'm just glad he got an episode before the series was killed... poor Riddler though... poor, poor Riddler :(

In all honesty I dont think there were any bad episodes of TNBA. In all the years of BTAS there were a few (usually due to the fact that I just got sick of cuz they aired them too many times) But TNBA didnt even have a chance to deliver any serious stinkers in my opinion. Probably my least favorite was the Circus animal one with the Mad Hatter, and again, I LIKED that episode.

I'll be honest. I started that baby doll/farmer brown thing, just to see the reactiones. does anyone have info on the Joker/bane Dvt? god, I hope thats one of the three dvts.

WB feature film animation had both Aquaman & New Gods set up as full length animated feature films. Unfourtanly they were never made. :(

Aquaman is now supposely set up as a live-action film.

I would debate that to the end, but it's not worth it. Let's just say that they were equally bad, :D.
