Since Fox Kids refused to show the final four episodes (opting instead to rerun the first four EVERY SINGLE WEEK), I was wondering if anyone in Canada had seen the end of the series. I actually enjoyed it for the most part, and wanted to know how it ended.

Though I don't understand why Fox would have Mainframe produce a show for them and then not finish it when they had numerous chances to do so.

What always bothered me, was that Action Man was one of their better shows in their line up, and yet it suffered a fate of bad time spots, and whatnot(damn you, Fox Kids!!!!).
And yes, Action Man was one of my favorite shows(Even though the toys during the show were to...'flashy'. This years toys are SO COOL! Especially the new Gangrene).

Actually, Fox Kids didn't refuse to show the last 4. They refused to show the last 3. I was lucky enough to have turned on the TV, right when a new episode started. It featured a robo-dog, during a moder dog-sled tournament, around an active volanoe. Really good episode, but it basically had the same plot as the episode where X kidnapped the Dolphin. Heh. But, I liked it.

I liked the first few eps of Action Man a lot. But then it started getting overly kiddified, so i stopped caring.

I was looking at this site called epguides.com and it has four episodes listed as "unaired". In fact, I've seen a lot of shows on there that have episodes listed like that. I don't understand why a network would fund so many episodes of a show and cancel it and never attempt to air the shows. That's tv for you I guess.

has always been pretty thoughtless. This is the second Bob Skir show that has been left up in the air in regard to episodes. (Godzilla:TS also dissapeared with three episodes unaired). It is truly annoying to fans of a show to know that eps are out there that we can't view!!

As to the 'kiddiefying' of Action Man--well, I never found the characterizations as interesting as those in GTS, but according to Skir, the changes in the show were mandated by higher ups who wanted to do just that--simplify the show and aim lower on the age range of viewers. That's something I always consider a no no. Children do not need shows dumbed down to their level. Even as a kid, I enjoyed shows with more depth and more complex characterization. You would think those in charge would get a clue! Give kids a good plot line and intreguing characters they can care about and they'll come back!

Yes, on YTV they did play the those eps. but, only once and I missed the second part of the "series finale" :( From what I remember, it was about X and his gang kidnapping Team Extream - minus Alex, since he was competing in a Masterdome for the last competition for that year- he won! :D , as always. Anyway he finds out and X forces him to save each team member in different locations around the globe. He does it and he starts to get exhausted, because he never used his amp-thingy three this in a row and with out noticing, while saving Grinder X - or rather Asazi - enfected him with some kind of mini-robobug thingy( w/ gas bomb)and it's attacking the amp factor his brain.
The ep. ends when X shows up to tell the team that he's going to blow up the earth with a laser or meteor or something, and everyone is pissed. DA END!! :D
I really hope they play this show again, I really miss Grinder! YTV played it in a bad timeslot too, (5:30, 6:00, and 7:00AM on Wknd)
:( :( :( OH Well, I think Mainframe is making more episodes though, I think. You can check their site here:mainframe.ca check their news or "shows " to see if the episodes are all summarized by now.
I hope this helps ya :D I'm ticked off at the networks too.

Thanks, that does help. I'm pretty sure the day is saved at the end, but it would be nice to see how it was animated. I still think that Action Man should be the show on CN rather than Max Steel, but thems the breaks I guess :D
