A question about the Yu-Gi-Oh and Shaman King uncut dubs...

Now, I never got the Yu-Gi-Oh or Shaman King uncut dubs when they first came out. I didn't have the money and I assumed that they would release more, which they didn't. My question is: how are the dubs? Do they keep the Japanese music? Is the script more accurate and do the voices fit? Do they curse in the dub?

Yes, Yes and no (since the voices are the same), and er i cant remember.

The Japanese music is kept, including the openings and endings.

The script is totally re-written, and yeah it's more accurate. In some places, I think it's too literal. The dubs use the names used by the edited Saturday morning dubs.

The voices fitting depends on how you thought the voices fit on the original dubs - with the exception of a couple voices (Mai Valentine and Rex Raptor in Yu-Gi-Oh!, mainly), they're all the same. The acting leaves something to be desired.

Occasional cursing. The word "hell" in the literal sense is thrown around frequently (notably in Yu-Gi-Oh! volume 3, which dealt with Kaiba's "death"), and "Damn" is said once in both Shaman King and Yu-Gi-Oh! (by Morty and Joey, respectively)

I did hear of a problem that some of the subtitles were dubtitled or something like that(I don't know). Who did the Japanese translations, Paul Taylor or someone else(like Steven J. Simmons)?

Both subtitle tracks were the same except the japanese names for the characters are used on the japanese version subtitles(except for the names of the cards). The 3rd Uncut Yu-Gi-Oh DVD used better subtitles(which weren't the same word for word for both tracks), except the names of the cards were still the English names for the japanese version subtitles.

Also, the dub voices speak noticibly slower in the uncut than in the edited dub. For some reason 4Kids thinks that all uncut dubs must be slower (going by what they were saying back when they were actually making Uncut One Piece way back when).
